The Shark Queen is back!!! We're on the right trail.

Dammit! It would be a lot easier if I knew who that last chick was. :(

nope. we be on the righteous path, now. ;)

Ah. If you're sure then.

Well, then, it shouldn't have made much difference to nauti WHO the woman in the end picture is. She needs to link the last person in the middle to Mark Williams (assuming, as you claim, that all the pictures have been correctly identified to this point ... which, since the one picture remaining has been identified as Dianne Wiest, I am not sure HOW you get to the end).

yep, I'm pretty damn sure, but I suppose that doesn't mean I'm not wrong.

as for nauti's post, some people like to word forwards from the end. and/or maybe she likes to have everything worked through before she posts.

This is exactly the problem I was having. I couldn't link Dianne to Mark so I figured there must be a disconnect somewhere. I just didn't know where until I knew who needed to link to the last girl.

But It seems Moonie is right.... and the last person in the middle has been mis-identified.

Thanks King!

Oh, yes ... Judi Dench. That makes more sense.

Anyone else tired of looking at the same pictures? :p

let me post early and I'll put us out of your misery. ;)
I still dunno how brad figured out judi dench. my first thought was audrey hepburn, like maybe after she got a little haggard-looking but before she got truly old. lol. so, I looked at a couple hundred pictures of audrey hepburn and (obviously) couldn't find the one you used. I found a bunch of her with a cigarette holder like the one in your pic, tho, so I thought I was right. oh, well.

Ah, see, too me it looks just like Judi Dench ... but one of the local stations (must be PBS) shows her "A Fine Romance" series on occasion, so I regularly see pictures of her from some time ago.

I thought it was an old picture of someone who was more well known in her later years. I thought it was Judi Dench right off the bat...I don't know why either.

A reminder of the VERY confusing rules:

*I will post an initial picture, a string of pictures in the middle, and then a concluding picture. The first person has to use the initial picture, and one of the pictures in the middle string, and "connect" them when they appear in the same movie. The next person will take the second performer listed in the previous response, and select one of the remaining pictures in the middle string, and find a film those have in common. This continues until there is only one picture in the middle string, which then has to be "connected" to the end picture.
*There may be more than one correct way of navigating through the set of pictures. However, not every choice will let you get all the way through the list. If you think that is the case, and you find yourself stuck, you may back up as far back in the response list as you like and restart the list at that point.
*A person can only post to a particular set once every 24 hours; that is, you may post again 24 hours after your last post on the same set. The clock also restarts with every new set of pictures.
*Only posts in the string that finally makes it to the end will count for points for those that posted on that set.
*The strings will get longer with each correct set of answers (up to a point).
*One last note, these are all film connections ... not television.

I will acknowledge that the person in the start picture has had a cameo appearance in only one film -- yet the subject matter is so tied in to what made this man famous that I wanted to stick him in one of these sets.

If I could invite any 5 living people to dinner with me, he is one of the 5 that would be on the list (assuming the list is of people that I do NOT know personally).
The mathematician will be somewhat trickier.

does it look like Dianne Wiest to anyone???

I went and looked at a picture from her Footloose performance ... it's somewhat similar, but not THAT close (IMO).

I actually thought Judi Dench was easy -- I can still see her TODAY in this picture. I thought Alex Winter would be tough. I thought Ken Watanabe would be tough as well -- I didn't realize he was in the current blockbuster, which made a link pretty easy. (I was thinking of the same pair, but in Batman Begins, and he looks a LOT different in that film.) And I didn't know how tough George Carlin would be, though I definitely see him in this photo, if you can forget about the hair and dress style and focus on his face.

I figured a Bond villain/Bond girl ... c'mon ...

But the picture is not really clear...I thought it was Jennifer Garner.

I tend to do it that way-then I know I'm on the right track-obviously i knew it was Dame Judi from the start:D

But now i'm stuck on practically all the men...
