Help!

I've tried twice and failed to write a story about my sister.
It involves her masturbating while I listen through the bedroom wall. Now its strictly 'Voyeur' or whatever the listening equivalent is.
The problem is both stories were far too short and I was stuck really for an ending. The only way I could pad it out was by listening to her over a few days or maybe weeks but that just seems repetitive.
Any ideas?

Add toys

While the sister was out, a survey was made of the bedroom to determine what tools/toys were available for her use.

Mysteriously a new toy appears in her drawer that she knows someone, either Mom or her brother planted it there. Another appears later. She enjoys more and wilder sex with the toys knowing it might be her brother that was listening and left the toys.

She can't talk to either Mom or her brother in case she chooses the wrong one.

What person were you trying to use...that will possibly be a good starting point to work out the way to structure your story. If you stick to 1st person (i.e. yourself) then I can see how it would possibly run short. 3rd person would be impersonal...and in some ways the physical barrier of the wall in the story will be more a hindrance than a help.

My suggestion for what it's worth would be to try and write a mixed 1st/2nd person narrative. Start with your persona, putting in whatever details you want about the background, situation etc. Then maybe go over to her viewpoint. Even though there is the wall between the characters in the plot you're effectively breaking that barrier down by making it almost into a conversation.

As for the ending...well there are probably limitless variations but I would suspect you'd either be looking at something that will be either positive (sis and bro fall in love, etc), negative (parents or someone else in authority finds out and puts a stop to it) or ambivalent (will it happen again?).

The 1st/2nd person looks a good idea and is one I'll try next .
In the first two drafts I put in plenty of personal detail so that it would be instantly recognisable - to me at any rate- so that is something I shall do anyway.
Still haven't decided on an ending!
