SW, I see that I am a bit late in seeing this and admit to not having read the posts but I hope that you are well and that you make a speedy and full recovery. Sadly, I don't think that this is something that you can Dominate into submission but if there is a way you would be the one to find it.

I am indeed. I was very fortunate to suffer only a *minor* stroke, though it wasn't a TIA (aka "mini-stroke"). Things could have been much worse.

Yeah, I was kind of its bitch for a few hours there. I went all switch on it, though, and I think now we've come to an accommodation concerning just who's the boss... most of the time.

Crap. I didn't really want to resurrect this thread (especially since I'm re-reading Stephen King's "Pet Sematary"), but ...

I'm going to be out of town, and thus offline, all day and evening tomorrow for VA follow-up appointments in towns 170 and 190 miles away from home. We're also going to do some shopping shopping, maybe some Christmas shopping, and some socialization while we're there, and likely won't be home until the witching hour or later (our time zone).

Soooo... I didn't want anyone panicking at not seeing any snarky posts and stuff from me for a whole day Chill out. I'll be back Friday, k?

I think Pet Sematary was the book that finally shook me from my obsession with reading all of King's work in order by date of publication. The pets weren't so bad, but the last character to be revived was a doozy.

Anyway, they're trucking me to the regional hospital 200 miles away for a different type of MRI tomorow morning. Probably take until mid-afternoon or later to read it & decide what to do, if anything. Either I or YK will update y'all as we find stuff out. Again, all good thoughts, etc., greatly appreciated.

I once had to go to an oral surgeon (no jokes, now) and I happened to notice the car he was driving. A very expensive 911 Porsche Carrera. Something told me he wasn't charging a lot because he had expensive equipment to pay for, but so he could buy his expensive toys.

Well, for good reason or just to get more money out of you, make sure they treat you right!
