I've not used many dating sites because... well, other than never really needing them, the few I did use were massive disappointments. Admittedly, I've been out of the game for a decade or so, but apparently things are different well beyond the waking world.

When did these websites become the place to go for women seeking sugar daddies, and when did sugar daddy not include sex? Am I that out of the loop?

Ugh. I feel like Grampa Simpson yelling at the cloud.

Hey Mac, not sure how old you are or what exactly your looking for. As far as Lit. though there are some nice people here it is not a dating site at all. Think of it as a sexual Facebook. I too was out of the loop and ventured into the on line dating sites. This is what I found. If your a decent guy, meaning half way good looking have a job and not some asshole your a catch. I'm taking your middle age. Most guys and gals are coming off of busted marriages at this point in there life and are a bit different than the kid who was married 20 years ago. Woman our age are much more upfront with what they want as well as you should be. Example I dated a woman with young kid's and told her I didn't want to get involved with a woman with younger kid's. I explained my reason's and she understood. Be Honest. Also don't put up your college picture you both will be disappointed when you see each other in real life. there are other things people do on the sites to make themselves appealing, you'll figure it out.
As far as the dating sites, you get what yo pay for. Sites that have pay walls USUALLY have much more serious women looking. The free ones have a different type of clientele. Sign up for both and you will see what I mean. Go out on a few dates it's actually pretty exciting. try not to stay local unless your serious with someone. Trust your gut with the sugar daddies. Good Luck it's a whole new world with on line dating. But it's better than looking for the bar fly at 2 in the morning.
