Becoming a regular social butterfly all of a sudden? The day yesterday was laid back yet productive at the same point.

It was pretty interesting, yes. Got info on starting up a small business I've been looking into.

I feel like I'm maxed out on social, though. This weekend will hopefully be spent in the comfort of my own home. Maybe even just my own bed. Depends on how lazy I feel tomorrow...or how enticed I am to remain in bed. Either way!

I did not sleep very well, but I woke up almost energized anyway? I was going to head out early to do some grocery shopping/hunting and gathering, but I got sucked into Lit instead. Oh well, it's still a little early.

But I do plan to stay as low-key as possible. I have work to do, but I also hope to squeeze in some time for writing and relaxation!

Me too! I am an admirer of handwriting as well. Particularly my own (haha!), as I'm a calligrapher and also practice less traditional forms of handlettering. I handwrite things every chance I get.

I’m not a calligrapher, have thought about it, but love writing by hand and love to write in fountain pen!

Fountain pens are lovely writing instruments! However, I'm a fan of almost any kind of pen, marker or brush. But, again...you don't want me to start 'geeking out' on this topic. Haha!

You should totally take up calligraphy. It's very Zen and meditative.

Ahhh! I took a calligraphy art class in school and loved it. My day-to-day handwriting is atrocious, however.

I must admit, I go both ways. Handwritten lists are nice, but I end up having to tuck a pen on my bra strap or along the neckline of my shirt when I go shopping, so that I can cross off the things I get. (I hate keeping pens in my pocket.)

The list on my phone is conveniently with me 90% of the time, and include little circles I can tap to mark everything I’ve gotten. Also, while handwritten lists are meant to remind me of what I need to get, half the time I forget to bring the list with me when I go out. C’est la vie.

I just snap a quick photo of my shopping list before I leave for the store. Haha!

But, then, I've had to live the first-half of my life without the internet, cell phones, or smart phones. So, some old habits I enjoy clinging on to...especially since my profession is VERY digital/tech-oriented.

Does anyone else still write in pencil as well?

More comfortable than in the pocket of my jeans. Usually the right strap (I’m right handed - ease of access) or center, if my top is lowcut or unbuttoned at the top.

But yes, I often write in pencil, usually to jot down story or character ideas while I’m in the middle of sketching.
