Single story or serie?

Hi there, So I want to publish my first story on here, only I am a little confused by the FAQ.

I am writing a serie of short story's that take place in the same location.. Only the characters are different with each story. Do I publish my first story under a serie or just a single story?

So if each story is entirely self-contained but just contains some shared themes and references, my advice would be to give each one a different title, but put them into a shared series.

If you go into your Control Panel, then Options, then My Options, and turn on beta features, it will let you create a Series and add stories to the series at will, without having to name them like a series!
