I posted a story on the story index - and there is now and H placed next to it.

This gives it a "hot" rating.

Who gives it this rating? Under what circumstances does a story receive this?

Who gives it this rating? Under what circumstances does a story receive this?

In order to get that nice little H, your story has to have at least ten votes, and the score (average of the votes) has to be 4.50 or better.

Is there a way to see what my score is out of 5? Im curious to know how people liked it since there is little feedback ...

Go to the page where you submit your stories. There, click on the link for "view submissions."

The page that comes up will show all your submissions, posted and pending, the date it was posted, its rating, the number of votes it has, the number of views, and the number of public comments. You can also click on "Moderate Public Comments" for each story, and that will take you directly to the page where the comments for that story are.
