Okay, I have a silly question but I haven't been able to find an answer and hope you all can help!

I have begun working on a series of stories that center around the main characters adventures during a specific time of her life. She will experience a number of different things throughout the series. What the category would I begin to put this under? There will be her first time in a lot of things, fetishes and some BDSM. I haven't gotten further than that.

Suggestions? Pretty please?

Several options:

- If you have one theme that dominates the overall story, you can put everything in that, even if individual chapters might not fit. For instance, I'm posting a story about a same-sex relationship, so it all goes in Lesbian Sex, even though some chapters would fit in BDSM and one chapter doesn't have any sex. This is a good option if your story is dominated by an overriding plot and readers need to follow the whole thing to make sense of it.

- If your plot is looser (readers can enjoy chapter 4 without previously reading 1-3) you could put each individual chapter in the category where it fits best.

- If your story contains 'triggering' content (e.g. incest, adultery, icky fetishes), it may be a good idea to categorise by that so readers don't get startled by unexpected poop-eating adulterous incest stuff.

Thank you! I think it's going to be a series where I'll end a small recap before launching into the story itself for that chapter. I will use your advice and put warnings up for some things although I don't see your examples coming into play - well, maybe. ;)

The only overall theme coming to light at the moment is there's a first time for everything. The main character is going from a small town into a new area and getting into situations that she's never even considered. So far I have plotted her male sexual encounter, first female sexual encounter, etc.

Would it be best to put it under First Time?

If it's all about firsts, that seems reasonable to me - although I don't hang out there much so I don't know the audience expectations too well. Female-female outside its usual category is less likely to draw flak than male-male would be.
