click on USER CP/Control Pannel just to the right of the Lit sign. click on Edit Options. go down to the bottom and click Change Avatar. click on the little circle next to "Yes" in the Use Custom Avatar area. you can either put in the online addy of the pick you want to use, or you can browse your hard drive andfind one you want to use. hit Submit Modifications, and presto!

okay, so how do I put an avatar up>?

Try downloading something you like from www.freeavatars.com then go to the icon marked control panel on your Lit screen and follow the instructions under, i think, profile or settings

It looks like you've distorted the pictture a bit making square. The 150x150 pixel size limit only means that the picture can't be larger than 150 pixels in the longer dimension.

I suspect you look a bit closer to the attached picture.
