Silk scarves are very bad for tying someone down with because they continue to tighten and become very hard to undo and can cut off circulation. It's a nice image, but the reality sucks.

And what do you think bondage is? It is constraining someone, or tying someone down with scarves in this case

Beck sometimes gets upset about turns that his thread takes and then deletes his comments.

It is a shame, because some of this threads are interesting discussions, but at this point my husband and I were just talking about avoiding his threads since he seemed to get so upset over things.

Bondage with rope can be seductive and romantic ... it very much depends on the setting and the people involved. The intricate rope work some people do is gorgeous (and generally safer than silk scarves).

Beck, you asked if anyone had ever been tied up. Yes, you specified with silk scarves. As TheLaughingGod pointed out, they're not very practical for bondage for more reasons than one. (Even though the imagry can be more "romantic" and tie in (no pun intended) with soft bondage.) Then you went on to ask if anyone had been tickled once bound.

You never said, "Only reply here if every element of what I asked is met with a yes".

Nah, rope isn't extreme. I've been tied up with lots of rope, and it was all good. (Can't remember about silk scarves. Seems likely.)

I think what happens is I get mad b/c I feel that posters don't respect the topic or the flow of conversation. Not saying I don't appreciate comments. Maybe I just need to put those people on ignore who I feel are making inappropriate comments on my threads.
