Step by step...

It the same as inserting a picture to a post in a thread or in a private message.

One: find the image you want to use. It must either reside somewhere on the internet or in your attachments. Only pictures you own can reside in your attachments. In other words you took the picture on your camera.

Second: now in your signature add this line...

where the image resides as an image file

e.g. [img]https://weedlist.ca/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/9188744_ismoke-top-5-cannabis-memes-01_t62933c66.jpg[/img]

This is what you will get.

If you have copied the image address to your clipboard you can click on the mountain with the sun in the sky and paste it into the dialog box. Remember to overwrite the http:// with the one in the address you copy.

I you have a picture in your attachments go to them and click on the one you want and copy the link. Using steps 1 and 2... insert the picture.

You do NOT need 100 posts to add an image to your signature. 100 posts are needed to have an avatar.

When you get to 100 posts, logout, then log back in. Go to your User CP, upper left corner, and you should see Edit Avatar and Edit Profile Picture there. Before 100 posts they will not be available.

Your signature is below each of your post on a thread. You don't need 100 post to place anything there.

Also, I don't see anyone's Avatar in the threads. Or can you only see them when you click on a User's profile? I don't see them in PM's I've received either.

As a matter of fact, I don't see any visuals at all in any of the threads unless I click on a link someone has included in their post.

I feel I'm missing out on the true Lit experience.

Under your User Control Panel, look for Edit Options on the left side. Then scroll down and look for Thread Display Options >>> Visible Post Elements.

Check the appropriate boxes.

I'm new and I don't have the functionality to add an image to my signature. Under "Signature Permissions>Can Upload Images for Signature" it states "No".

You can add a picture to your signature as I described. It will by pass the option to do it the easy way.

I have never noticed the option below where you type in your sig as I have never even thought to put a picture there.
