Sigh

Adding my support to the clan ~
Go get'm Rob, and make'm eat their words ~ ;)

Don't let it bother you. Rejection is the name of the game. I'm one of those writers who collects my rejection letters. I have a really good one. The woman who owns the publishing company didn't bother writing her own letter in return or even sending a form letter. She took my query letter, wrote personal insults toward me in the margins, and sent it back. I LOVE that one!

Thanks Boota. Much appreciated.

I'm pleased it's affected me a lot less than I expected. Except for the initial shock I've shrugged and moved on.

Still not going to keep rejection letters though. Unless they give me decent feedback on why it was rejected.

Oop. Where are my manners.

Thanks neon, Rhyme.

I think I'll try anthologies next. Put together my Romance pieces in one and my BDSM in another. I have an idea on how to link the Romance ones. Nothing yet for BDSM though. If it's even necessary.

And here I was all set to send a kiss for what ails you Rob, but I'll send hugs instead...

Keep at it, you can do it... :nana:

Rob, keep plugging away, mate!

You have taken the plunge. You've taken that brave step that so many talented writers fail to take: you've actually submitted some stuff!

That, my dear friend, is half the battle.

Now, don't stop.

Keep submitting, carry on swallowing up those rejections, and one day, yes, one day, you WILL get published.

You deserve it. I know that, you know that, anyone who has read anything by you knows that. And one day you will come across a publisher who is willing to put their faith in you (a new, unknown), and once that one person takes that chance (because it is alway a chance for them, taking on someone new), you will begin to build up your writing credits, and more and more people will get to know you and your work, and you will get to a point where you can pick and choose who gets the privilege of publishing you!!!

Beginning with anthologies, and even magazines, is a good way to go, because publishers are much more likely to "take a chance" with that kind of publication, and getting into one of those (whatever it may be), will build up your writing credits, and give you more credibility - not that you, or your writing, needs it, but in the eyes of publishers, it all helps!

Never give up, and keep on doing what you're doing!

Lou

AMEN!

Thanks Lou, imp.

I don't intend to give up. Since I can't hold a regular job, writing is the only way I see to get of my disability pension.
