Bobby Darin... Tom Jones... And a pair of women that I have
the hots for. The video of Tori Amos makes me want to write bad checks. And the one with
Sarah McLachlan makes me think all sorts of dirty thoughts. And Edith Piaf...
This thread brings lots of musical education to me regarding singers and kinds of music, especially the "oldies"
from days gone by :) Édith Piaf (1915 - 1963) who became France's nationally acclaimed singer during WWII.
However another unknown to me was Bobby Darin who died at the age of just 37 in 1973. The others I do know
of, especially Sir Tom Jones born June 1940 and just celebrated his 77th birthday :)

Guess the movie? ;)

Listening to Edith always makes me think of WWII. Also had a tragic life, lost her mother, became a prostitute young, chain smoker.

Yes, Bobby Darin did die so young and was a pop sensation who was real crossover in his day. He did his big band jazz along with syrupy pop tunes. I thought you might like Tom Jones.

New music...
Oh wow AFM I just love the Tove Lo song Disco Tits :) I could see myself grooving to that
back in the late 90's and into the new millennium decade on the club dance floors. Definitely
something that will be popular today, especially in Ibiza :)
Her real name is Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson from Sweden and made her debut with Swedish rock band
Tremblebee back in 2006. I was wondering if a thirties something MILF like myself would burn
up the dance floor to Disco Tits?... maybe
;):D

... I like a lot of music that is off the beaten path. Or that is from genres that are not as popular...
I have a wide spectrum of music likes :)... HWW you have introduced us to some interesting soul, blues, rock and
country :) My Mum told me once that rock and country will always be the same no matter what decade it originated
from. I suppose ageless or timeless? I don't like to argue with Mum :) Please, introduce us to more
;)
