Sidhe

Garlor

Garlor, at the behest of the german, clambered in a little uneasily into a Nazi officers car, which soon sped away. They were heading for a small, more than well-guarded estate some distance behind german lines.

Three rifles were strapped to his back. He had a machine gun cradled like a child in his arms, and double the amount of grenades that anyone should ever carry for a troop. His face was all covered with dirt.
It was upon this fashion that he met up with another troop.
Major Frank and his three troops of men first thought he was some renegade nazi, but him screaming in joy and relief from seeing american soldiers soon put that away.
The guns fell from his side as he ran up to the nearest soldier. He hugged him, laughing hysterically.
"Calm down man, what happened. Who are you?"
"Private Derek Henderson, sir," he saluted, finally getting a hold of himself, "I was part of Tergan's party, but the mission was a failure. The german's got us."
He had been going over it for hours in his mind. Who would actually believe he had come face to face with an ogre that single handedly took out an american troop.
After all this time marching, he hardly believed it himself.
After some conference and a radio call or two Frank came up to meet with Derek. He was eating a hearty meal of beans and bread.
"You are given new orders," he handed him a single piece of paper.
"Dinko!" Derek looked at the Major, shocked. Frank only stared blankly at him.
"Dinko... the Dinko, the same one that went twenty miles off course just to have a look in the woods. He nearly single handedly ruined the battle of the bulge. His latest excursion is looking for forest spirits. You have got to be kidding me."
Frank sighed heavily, "Derek, your entire troop was killed, and you lived. Now, that seems to be all fair and nice, but I don't trust it, or you. You are lying about something, and until I can figure that out, I don't want anything to do with you. Go off and look for spirits with Dinko."
Derek crumpled up the piece of paper and threw it to the ground. He gave a hateful eye to the major, but after a second thought gave up. There was no use fighting higher ups, it only meant more punishment.
After packing up a few days worth of provisions, he left for the last location of Dinko's party. Something told him this wasn't going to be just another run of the mill missions. There was something in this place that wasn't supposed to be there.

"Fremden's collar, where did he get it? Could we put it one like it on the human? Would it control him? I can't kill him, my father would have a fit. I can't let him go either, he's trying to burn down the Wood," Ceridwen asked of either of them. "I don't have a lot of time to figure out what to do with him. I'm meeting the rest of my party here. We're going to this UN place to rescue the Sidhe Envoy to the humans. This man thing could be helpful, but only if we controlled him."

Fremden

Fremden touched his collar, and smiled softly... "No, milady, this collar is only to control me in beast-form... I misdoubt me that it would have any effect on such as he." He turned to Nikki, and spoke directly to her, "Nikki, I've been practicing, you know? I could try that control-curse that you tried to teach me! I'm sure I wouldn't cause my subject to become overcome with lust for you this time!"

Nikki listened to the theory about Femden's collar and agreed with Fremden. The collar was meant to control only him. She agreed on that but when he mentioned the spell she frowned and her istinct was to say no. The last time he had tried some the poor guy he used it on was overcome with lust and Nikki literally had to fight him off. She had to wonder how Fremden had managed that reaction seeing how the spell usually reflected what the caster wanted. After a few moments debating it she decided she would let him try. Then taking a deep breath and making sure her sword was with her she looked at Fremden "Ok give it a try but be careful please"

Ceridwen looked from one to the other nervously. Undercurrents she didn't understand passed between them, and then were resolved with a single nod from Nikki. Intelligently, Ceridwen backed away from the man thing, so as not to get caught if there were such thing as a magical crossfire. Like most Sidhe, she could "see" magic even though she could not create it. She watched in awe as Fremden's aura began to glow with his inner, magical fire.

Fremden

Fremden nodded, downcast, "I figured you wouldn't let me try..." Then what she had actually said sank in, "You're letting me?!! Great! You'll not regret it, I promise!" He hurridly began the incantations and gestures, before she had a chance to change her mind.

An eerie green nimbus formed around the unconscious GI, who promptly woke up.

OOC:Ravenloft, I'm not going to say anything about what that spell actually did. It is entirely up to you!

OOC: I thought Ravenlofts character, Dinko, was a Nazi officer... assumed so from his more 'dastardly' intro, but on looking back see no real indication this is true...

Ooc: I assumed he was, but I really don't know either. If he isn't, my entire post is fucked up again.

Derek looked in some confusion at the scene. What an odd thing to have in the middle of the forest. He took a step closer. No, it couldn't be, it just couldn't. He touched it.
Cold.
How could someone have frozen an entire platoon? It's impossible. He looked almost shocked. The men were frozen in place. All of them, with ice around their bodies. He had never even heard of something like this before.
"Ok, ok, calm down Derek. There's a perfectly rational explanation for all of this."
He looked at the jeeps. He felt the hood, the engines were cold. This must have happened a while ago. He grabbed an extra gun out of the back of a jeep. There wasn't any way he was going to go down like a popsicle. They could just try.
Voices.
He heard voices coming from across the forest. Quietly he walked over to where they were. Between two thick bushes he saw Dinko, but something was wrong. There were two people with him. Derek thought they were German soldiers, so he was about to ambush the whole lot of them, but then he got a good look.
"Oh my god," he covered his mouth.
What in the hell was goin on?
