Showdown: Two lesbians compete for best supporting actress in a TV Series

I knew Cherry Jones was a lesbian but not Jane Lynch. Guess she wasn't acting TOO much in The L Word!

As I stated, I never knew about either one of them. I also didn't know what Cheryl did before 24. Then I saw her the other day on Signs -- Mel Gibson starred.

Speaking of Mel... On a whim I googled him. I had no idea that he was also a homophobe. I knew about the anti-jewish comments, but not the anti-gay stuff. On some Spanish radio he made sure people knew that his ass was only for an exit -- plus some other crude comments...

I guess it shouldn't surprise me. I think like a lot of guys, he has this anal sex phobia. It is too bad that such talented people can be real jerks at times.

Mel Gibson is homophobic, eh? Doesn't surprise me. I already disliked him from his anti-Semitic right-wing bullshit, so the fact that the bullshit also encompasses anti-gay stuff is no shock at all.

Think that's why he wound up divorcing his wife? Cause he's more of a bare foot and pregnant type of caveman?

I think his anti-Jewish and anti-gay views come from the fact that he's supposedly an uber-Catholic. He has so many kids because he doesn't believe in birth control, per the Catholic Church, and he refused to file for divorce, even though he and his wife were separated for years. I guess the Catholic rule against adultery didn't apply to him...but at least he didn't use birth control while he was doing it! Now he has a child out of wedlock and he's divorced. Somehow I don't think his wife is the only one who has to worry about hell.

Kudos to both ladies, but I have to say that I think the judges (voters?) made the right choice.

What has he said that's right-wing?
