I've got a rough draft for which I would like some advice and suggestions in the areas of content, structure, and style. However, it's too long to post here and I really hate to "officially" post a rough draft. Is anyone interested in trading off? Mine's at about 11K words and is complete in the sense of having reached its plot conclusion. I'm looking for input on where to go in revision. I am happy to look at any length story and provide whatever type of commentary is requested, from broad to specific.
Oh, some information about the story might help, mightn't it? It's structured as a series of letters, the action takes place on a ship in 1865, straight and gay sex are both incorporated, but gay in considerably more detail. The story attempts a plot rather than a shag-fest. No frigging in the rigging, nor indeed rum sodomy and the lash. Well. There is rum. And ... well, there's no lash. But not a "beefy sailors have an orgy" sort of thing. If you are looking for that, you will be most dissapointed.
