Sadie listened to Maggie as she looked at her. Her mouth felt like sand regardless how much she drank she couldn’t quench her own thirst. Taking another long drink of her coffee she sighed shaking her head. ”Maggie, so what happened to me?” She asked her seriously now as she sat there in shock. Yes shock would best describe what Sadie was feeling.
Not only had she met someone who believed what she said she met someone who had been through something similar to what she had been through herself. She sighed again. She was so tired, always so tired now, especially during the day time. Then at night she couldn’t sleep and even when she did she had such vivid dreams of things she didn’t understand and things that usually woke her up out of her own sleep.
She couldn’t understand any of it. She had tried to brush it off to just ignore it but as the dreams continued and seemed to get worse she couldn’t ignore them anymore. She looked at Maggie and sighed again. ”I don’t know maybe I am losing it, it feels that way.” She sighed again as she sipped on her coffee some more.
She sat there staring off into the abyss, her mind ran with thoughts that she was losing her mind, she was going insane. She could feel her reality leaving her and it made her sick to her stomach. Her life was dedicated to helping others, saving lives and now she was worse than any of the people she had met and she was no longer doing the one thing that bought her solace in this crazy world. ”All I wanted to do with my life is help people, save lives and help.” She blurted aloud as she sat there tears running down her face now.
