Patrick looked at his watch and finished getting ready, he had this date with some girl his best friend thought would be perfect for him. Patrick looked in the mirror got in the car and was off, he knew how blind dates normally went, but he still held out hope that sometime one of these blind dates would work out but he didn't hold out much hope. Patrick drove past the house the first time, finding it on the second trip around the block. He waits in the car for a second listening to the end of a song.

OOC: Very nice on the size, you got me down pat on what I like in SRP's. lol

IC: Candy was waiting for the guy to come to pick her up. She was wearing a short denim mini-skirt, and a tight blouse, along with 3 inch heels. She wasn't sure where he was going to take her, but she was going to be happy wherever they went. Her friend that had set them up, had shown her a picture of Jim, and she was sure that she wouldn't be disappointed. She was sitting in her living room, waiting for him to knock on the door. She heard someone drive up, and looked out the window and had to smile, "at least he has a nice car."

Patrick gets out of the car and knocks on the door nervous like anyone is at the beginning of a blind date, as Candy opens the door he likes what he sees and smiles. "Candy?" He asked as she opened the door. "I guess I'm your blind date for the evening, with a quiet dinner, and a movie this evening, maybe a walk together at the end, does that interest you?" He said smiling

OOC: Just forget that I said his name was Jim in the last post. lol, will call him by right name in this one.

IC: Candy smiled at the man in her doorway. "You must be Patrick, yes I'm ready. That sounds like a plan, just let me grab my coat and purse." She left him there just to grab her coat, keys and purse before joining him again, and smiling. "Ready when you are Patrick."

Patrick walked with her to his car, and opened the door for her. "So Candy, any where special you care to go to for dinner, everything tonight is on me." He said smiling at her, starting up the engine before he drove down the street. "There is a new resturant on 25th street if you care to try something new, I heard it is good."

Candy smiled at Patrick and nodded. "Sounds like a good place to go. I have always wanted to go there, just haven't gotten to it yet." She buckled up, and smoothed out her skirt some,

Patrick smiled at her. "You look good Candy." He said as they drove to the resturant. "So was it your best friend that set you up on this too, saying I would be perfect for you, or something like that." He asked

"Yah, Marsha sure thinks she knows what's best for me. I'm not complaining tho. Did your friend at least show you a picture of me? Marsha showed me your picture, so I knew I wasn't going to be disappointed by you." She smiled at him with a wide grin and wondered what he was thinking. He was handsome, and drove a nice car. Now if he has manners and knows how to treat a lady, he is more than half way there with me. She thought to herself as they drove along.

"Nah, Steve didn't show me anything, he just said you would be perfect for me." He smiled. "Of course he says that every time he sets me up on one of these blind dates." They arrive at the resturant and both get out of the car, Patrick getting the door for Candy as they enter. They are led to a table, and Patrick gets the chair out for her before he sits down. "Order anything you desire Candy." He said smiling at her.

OOC: This will be my last post until later tonight just to let you know.

IC: Candy thanked Patrick for holding the door and her chair before looking at the menu. She decided on something simple but nice. She ordered Chicken fried steak, with mashed potatoes, and vegetables. She had let him pick the wine for dinner and sat there waiting for her dinner. "Yah, they can be a bit of a problem, but I think this one might work out."

Patrick smiled at her. "I hope this one works out, I'm tired of being single, while it does have it's pros I want to be able to enjoy things with someone else." He said smiling at her. "And on that topic, what do you care to do."

"What do I care to do? Hmm, there are a lot of things that I care to do, depends on what timeline your talking about Patrick. Are you talking about today, the next month, year, 5 years, ten years, with my life or what?"

"Well, lets go with what do you like to do for fun, and what do you do for a job." He said smiling at her. "I enjoy reading, watching some tv and playing the odd game when I'm not blowing up the lab I work in."

Candy smiled and nodded. "Well I like reading and cooking, along with long walks on the beach. What I do for a living is that I am a registered nurse, and work at the local hospital in the Maternity ward. I love kids, and well that isn't something that you discuss on a first date now is it." She smiled sweetly at him, already feeling comfortable with Patrick.

Patrick smiled at her. "Not normally, but I think we can make an exception in your case Candy." He said smiling at her, as they both finished dinner, Patrick looking at his watch. "Well, if we hurry we can make the late movie, or we can go for a walk if you desire." He asked her smiling.

Candy smiled and nodded. "Now either would be fine Patrick, whichever you would like to do." She smiled and got up from her seat.

Patrick smiled. "Lets just go for that walk." He said as they exited the resturant, Patrick placing the money on the table, and getting the doors for Candy as they leave. "It's a beautiful night, we should enjoy it." He said smiling at her.

Candy nodded and wrapped her arms around his as they walked. It was a beautiful night, and she was having a good time. Hell she was thinking if Patrick was this nice on the first date, he definitely would get a second one.

Patrick smiled at her as they walked through town. "It's a pity that we live in the city, the lights block out all the stars. A night is never truly beautiful without the stars." He said smiling at her, enjoying the night out with her

Candy smiled as they walked. "So Patrick, what do you want to do after this. Do you want to come back to my place for a nightcap?"
