I do not think they should be able to at all. There should be a way to stop them, like how they cannot look at the pics unless they are registered. They are a nuisence & worse than the trolls.

Well...after the one thread I wrote, where I did not see it was unregistered...and my heart sank...I did not see it as being amusing to anyone. They have no right to be able to hide. At least the trolls that post, like Hanns, take responsibility for what they post. That I can respect. This I cannot. It is just cowardice.

How are we going to stop them?
I find the unregistereds confusing and anoying. It is like they are intruding on the tight community that is built here and get away with it. To some I feel it is there way of trying to view porn and that is not what lit is about.

We have out rights to feel comfortable here and post our opinions.

I don't think people should be even able to view the threads or at least the pictures unless they are registered members. I feel that I have earned my right as a part of the community. It is an honor to write here and should be for those who have earned the right.

That is my rant for the day

Night

They are very confusing and does like to cause trouble.

Thank you H'venlee,ozme52 and papillon24, for feeling the way you do.

:rose:

It's the way I feel. No thanks needed. The unregistereds have confused me and complicated things for me since the first thread I was in.

Unregistered individuals don't need to post...especially if they are deliberately voicing racial slurs or just plain being hateful. If you can't take the heat for something inflammatory that you post under your nickname, then it is my suggestion that you don't waste anybody's time by posting it under "Unregistered" either. A nickname is fairly anonymous to begin with and it isn't like anyone has ever seen the typist...it takes a spinelss jellyfish to post slurs and not be accountable--even to a a registered Lit name. Off my soapbox...AA

Thats right AA

The unregistereds are just cowards who can't admit it and try to hid from...what? What is there to hide from here? In some ways one is just hiding. Most of the time the nasty coments towards me come from them. I would rather have someone approach me with their lit id and rant at me than do it behid my back. This way I can discuss things and work things out. I can't yell at a unknown

You both are very tight.....it is like a child that doesn't like to take the blame.......and children don't belong here.

Thank you AA, this is very important to me, really everyone who post here.:rose:

I walso believe that some of the unregistereds are children still. Some post as unregistered because they are underage and don't know how deal with the fact they are deling with a sexually mature crowd with a very high intellect(most of the people I have talked with and met -love ya'll)

Or it could be an adult (I use that term loosely) who is extremely insecure or has a low self-esteem. Sometimes people like that feel they have to try to drag people down to their level. I try to think when I post....would I say this if I were standing face-to-face with this person? If the answer is no--it doesn't get posted.

The thing is not let them take you down with them.

My theory is to ignore all the unregistereds that arent acconted for. I know I have accidenty done it once or twice but I have always come back and stated it is me.

i take extream pride in anything I write. And all of those registered who give a shit about this site should as well

Yes if you can't say it face to face..then no it shouldn't get posted.

The thread they did at the playground, nearly put a knife in my heart.:(

I really want to work at getting this Unregistered taking care off. The thread they did at the playground, nearly put a knife in my heart.:(
Angel...just a suggestion--don't react to it so vehemently in public because that's what the turkey butt posting it WANTS...a reaction. PM friends about it and talk about it in private and the problem will ease. Papillon is correct in ignoring them until something behind the scenes can be implemented to put a stop to the unregistered postings. None of us LIKE them, but we have to bite the bullet until something can be done. Just a thought....if they stop the unregistered postings--then there is nothing they can do to prevent these same people from making up a fake nickname and doing the postings anyway. I try to keep my own house clean and not fret about things that I don't like, but am powerless to control, too.

You are right....:)

I don't think they should have the right to post since they don't have the right to view pictures. This is an *ADULT* forum. Some are more adult than others.. to viciously hurt someone is not *ADULT* at all.

well i'm with the "no" vote here. Lets face it, it doesn't take long to register so if people truely want to use the forums and join in they'll register. the unregistered option just does seem to lead to idiotic and insulting things being posted in anonimity.

I do agree though, these kind of idiots do like to get a reaction. if you ignore them they do tend to give up.

I chat at a site where we had some major trouble form someone, or maybe a group of people coming in under proxyservers and daft names purely to make trouble. the guy incharge made it so you could ignore posts both private and public, now that they get no reaction, they don't bother posting.

I think I have a point somewhere..and i hope you can find it!

I was the other no vote. Mainly, in keeping with the 'Free Speech' thing. It's not to say that I don't see and agree with the points you have all made. I think people who post as unregistered lack courage and are often troublemakers. However, they do have the right. I sometimes wish it otherwise, as unregistered users often post upsetting things and hurt people. But, so do many of the registered users. Take a look at Hanns Schmidt for a good example of that. If they haven't taken the time to register, hopefully they are just passing thru.

Good question tho and some really great points made. Just warn me before you begin throwing stuff at me, ok? :D

I think that unregister's shouldn't be able to post.

I know on other message boards which are PG rated a person has to register if they want to post a message. It should be the same here.

Not saying they shouldn't be able to post at all or view threads. Just if you have something to say Register. This is suppose to be fun.

If a person doesn't have the guts or the courtesy to identify themselves in some way (Lit. is "essentially" anonymous), they ought not to post. There are so many who post as Unregistered (even some Lit. regulars logging of to do so) just to be hurtful and/or obnoxious. Lit. should be a fun place.

Even as I post this, I realize and admit, that my initial posts were as an unregistered guest. There are some people who CUM here just to check it out and want to do that prior to registering. I understand those "Unregistered" posters. We don't want to dscourage true "seekers".

I don't know if there is a way for Lit. to distinguish between the two. It would be nice if there was a way to block "Registered" Lit. people from posting as "Unregistered", as theypost most of the hurtful posts.
