Well, I, too, would like 45 to choke on a dick.
That being said, can’t there be set topics and everyone truly tries to stay on topic? That way, if there is a specific political topic or issue you don’t want to get into, you can sit that one out. I wouldn’t listen to a podcast about our current President, but that doesn’t mean you all shouldn’t talk about him.
Also, it is clear who is speaking. If you don’t like that person, don’t click their name. I would rather that than censorship of what Avery, LW, you, or anyone else might say.
It’s a unique thread. I like listening to you all. I vote resoundingly YES.
I agree. I had a hard time keeping up with listening to multiple responses to multiple questions. If there was a question a week, that would allow for people to answer it, listen to others and then discuss. If anyone doesn’t like the direction the discussion takes, then they will be aware and they can steer clear of the discussion that week. Or not. But I agree that it was just hard for me to keep up with.
I loved the thread for the same reasons that Indie stated— it’s easy to think you know someone by their posts or brief interactions in threads, but the audio thread helped change my view and get to know people I didn’t know well on a different level.
Maybe I'm just not easily fussed, but it seemed to me like the set questions always steered pretty clear of politics. In my experience, everyone who participated stayed on topic and was respectful of other posters. What Avery posted about 45 choking on a dick was not part of a recorded answer to one of the posted questions, but was included in a written post where she was explaining why she was stepping away from the thread. Feels like a tempest in a pot of tea to me. It's Lit...I expect to be offended to some degree at least once per visit.
