Shooting guns

I do occasionally. Wish I got to do a bit more. Just a beginner
So I can practice more I got an Airsoft gun version of my Glock so I can shoot in the backyard. People shoot each other with those things so they are safe to shoot in your yard at paper.

Let me know how that works for you. Is weight, sights and trigger pull similar enough to your Glock

Yes, my preference is shotgun sports although I shoot rifles too. There is something about the challenge of hitting a moving target and watching it explode that is very relaxing to me.
I would love to do that but the only place that offers that is a club only and their membership cost is just too much.

I live near a couple of shotgun clay ranges that are open to the public. I used to work down the road from one of them and go shooting during my lunch hour. I haven’t been able to go in months.

Just like shooting the real thing without the recoil.
I will start looking for a duplicate of mine. I might have to go with near duplicate though as what I have probably sells few units than Glock. I have a Rock Island Armory 22 TCM with a barrel for 9mm and for 22 TCM. Also have a Rock Island Armory RIA 5.0E at 9mm.

Yes. Not enough. I can shoot on the farm Out West, so that keeps it simple. Last time I was up, there was an invasive critter that got a load of #4 buckshot, which put an end to that.

I collect firearms and enjoy shooting too.

It sounds counterintuitive, but I find it to be extremely relaxing. I can focus and not worry about other stuff. Just focus on my breathing, trigger pull, aim…

Like many of you have said, .22 are almost always cheap. I try to avoid buying ammo in election years and stick up when prices level out some.

I was really hoping to plink some this weekend but time and other stuff got the best of me.

I have a nice Ruger .22 rifle for fun and varmints and a Springfield XDM 5.25" 9mm that I get out when I'm feeling spendy. I have a lot of military and LE experience and training and would consider myself a good shot. I live in the country, and can shoot whenever I want but it frazzles my goats a bit, so I don't make a habit of it.

Is it a 10/22?

Great rifle!!

Don’t shoot as much as I used too, but still take out the old Ruger GP100 for a little target practice now and then. If I was a bit more into it, might be fun to have a lever action to plink with.

A Henry or Marlin .22 lever action is a good get!!

Have a Henry.

I have my dad’s Mossberg model 25, single shot bolt action. It’s a cool old school plinker.

I grew up shooting. Plinked around with an air rifle then moved up as I aged. In high school I worked at a gun club. I would shoot some trap. But lots and lots of skeet. Shot on the skeet leagues with my 20ga Mossburg 500. Sadly that club is not longer around. And it’s a bit of a drive to any other ones in my area. I do get out to a public range from time to time but never as often as I’d like.

I have owned 357 revolvers since 1981, and mostly use 38 wadcutters for target shooting and general plinking. I’d sort of like to use one type of ammo, I don’t worry about the expense very much. My first rifle was a Winchester 22, wish I still had that one. Even better would be the little Browning 22 semi auto, it was sweet shooting little rifle, my father in law gave me that one, I later passed it back to his son.

Got my eye on a Henry or a Marlin in 357. 👍🏼
