Shocking Surprise: BLS Unemployment Falls Sharply In Final Reporting Months Before Election
September 2012 unemployment rate falls to 7.8%
The unemployment rate in September fell from 8.1% to 7.8%, the lowest since January 2009, as Americans benefited from a surge in part-time work, the Labor Department said Friday.
The jobless rate fell sharply because it’s calculated from a different survey than the official employment number. That household survey showed a robust 873,000 increase in employment and a 456,000 decline in unemployment.
Unemployment Rate Steady In September 2010, Recovery Losing Momentum
But the figures are preliminary and subject to revision. In a troubling sign, the decline in employment previously reported in July and August was revised downward: an additional 12,000 jobs were cut in July and 3,000 in August. Also, in the 12 months ending in March, the Labor Department revised its previous estimates of private payrolls, showing that businesses shed an extra 371,000 jobs more than previously reported.
September 2014 jobs report – 248,000 jobs added, 5.9% unemployment rate « Hot Air
September jobs report – 248,000 jobs added, 5.9% unemployment rate
It’s sort of odd how the unemployment rate either plunges sharply leading up to a federal election, or has to be revised upward to reflect overhyped initial estimates, isn’t it?
You’d almost thing the Bureau of Lies and Statistics is trying to influence elections for the Democrats, wouldn’t you?
That’s just crazy talk. I know.
