Shit

*Hugs* Lou and pass one on to Adam for me!

*shakes head* I cannot believe this kind of crap is going on again. Makes me angry. reaaaally angry.

Exactly so! That's what he said: "I've just gotta get home now." Love him. Too right! I gave him a massive hug and kiss as he got on the train, and will give him even bigger ones when I pick him up later - whatever time that will be.

Thanks, and to Cloudy, too.

Glad all's well darling :) Give him an extra special one tonight ;)

Our oldest lad's in London today as well, but he's at the Cricket and went by car so we weren't over worried, still a bastard of a thing to have to keep worrying about loved ones though...

Nice to hear one of the bombers might be hurt though... Made me chuckle about the last lot, they reckon they were tricked into killing themselves by their terror boss who could have set the bomb timers to zero when the bombers thought they had many minutes to escape after planting the Rucksacks... It's always good to hear of these bastards scoring an own goal or several.

Thank you, everyone. I know, for a fact, that I shouldn't have been as shaken up as I was, but I was. Everything seems to have settled down now, with no casualties.

I just spoke to Adam again. He's just boarded a train at Waterloo station and will be home in a couple of hours. I cannot wait to see him. He was so sweet; I could tell he was nervous, but we spoke briefly and told each other how much we love each other.

Thanks, again, for the sheer love and concern of everyone here.

Glad to hear everything is ok. I been in and out all morning and just heard.

I have to say, though, that this does not sound like any of the major terrorist organizations. This sounds more like small factions that are trying to take advantage of the fears caused by Al Queda and others, without actually taking lives. The more extreme groups would not have bothered with fake bombs, they would have tried to do as much damage as possible. So in a sense that's a good thing. Unfortunately I see a lot more of this happening before it's over with. :(

Glad all is well, too, Lou, but still so sorry you had to go thru all that worrying :(

Just found out about the new bombing and came on the main topics thread to see if there was anything happening and came upon your thread, Lou....

I am thrilled that your hubby is ok...

Just heard from hubby. :)

He's at the head office, and called me from one of their phones (he couldn't get through on the mobile - networks jammed). They gave an announcement on the train as it pulled into Waterloo Station, informing the passengers of "incidents in London" and told them that once the train had arrived at the station they were to leave Waterloo as quickly and calmly as possible.

Lou, those of us who read your thread-starter were waiting with you, even if we couldn't think of anything worth saying. Thank you for letting us know when he finally checked in.

It's a good thing he had an excuse for not calling, because when it started to look like he must be safe, I was itching to slap him for letting you worry. He is forgiven.

Btw: Until the copy-cat transit bomber wannabes get bored and move on, this might be a good time to see how your husband responds to having his clothes taken away and replaced with heavy-duty leather ankle cuffs connected with a short length of chain. If he behaves himself, consider allowing him to telecommute. If not, a flogging could do wonders.

Topping from a lower lattitude,

It sounds, from the news, that the backpack exploded on one fucker's back. Serves him right.

Got me all choked up when you finally said he contacted you; glad all seems well.

For those who don't know, the three cable news channels in the US have dropped all other stories and are full time on this one but CBS and NBC network channels are still running soaps. Sighs...

Best wishes....

Well, thank God this turned out to be alright.

Of course this is highly annyoing and stupid for people to place these 'mock' bombs but in the end we can all be glad that the terrorist attacks did not provoke other terrorist attacks.

Hell, keeping in mind that the next football world championships will be held over here there's a slight possibility that my country might be next on the list.

Terrorists suck.

He's back home. :)

Oh poo, sod the little smile, this deserves a big one: :D

Of course, now he's telling me I had no need to worry, but, well, I couldn't help but worry.

Thank you, everyone, and I really, really mean that.

From both of us:

Sher, you said:

Topping from a lower lattitude,

I already do some of that, sometimes, but he still gets out of my grasp now and again. ;)

Hahaha! He just read what you said and his response was: Ok! :D

:rose:

Amicus... you choked me up then, you sweet man you. :rose:

Afraid not Snoopy, the news now emerging is that we had a very lucky escape, the bombs did not detonate, only the detonators exploded.

Contrary to earlier reports the terrorists seem to have escaped, though it is possible one is holed up in the hospital and two suspects were arrested near Downing Street (Prime Ministers residence), hardly likely to be the suspects though unless a completely seperate attempt was being made.

Lou's first word was right - SHIT.

Gawd, what a nightmare. I've not had the television or radio on all day, so I had no clue. Huge sigh of relief and thanks that hubby's doing well and on his way home to you. Squeeze him extra tight for all of us here?

And squeezes for you too. I can only imagine the worry.

Bloody hell.

And, shit!

I thought it was a lot more serious than the reports were saying, because there was such a heavy police presence at the train station here at Bournemouth. They questioned everyone coming off the train from Waterloo, asking if they'd been to particular areas and roads, and if they'd seen anything.

Thanks, Lucky, love.

Lou, it's great to know that your fears were proven untrue. Sorry you had to go through that. As far as I'm concerned there is nothing as scary as waiting powerlessly. I can only imagine your relief when you got his phone call.
