Fresh Cambridge Analytica leak ‘shows global manipulation is out of control’

Company’s work in 68 countries laid bare with release of more than 100,000 documents

An explosive leak of tens of thousands of documents from the defunct data firm Cambridge Analytica is set to expose the inner workings of the company that collapsed after the Observer revealed it had misappropriated 87 million Facebook profiles.

More than 100,000 documents relating to work in 68 countries that will lay bare the global infrastructure of an operation used to manipulate voters on “an industrial scale” is set to be released over the next months.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I have no information about what is inthe CA Leaks. I suppose it will be weeks before this all plays out.

However I will assume it is in the tradition of many other studies that were done, trying to explain how and why we are in the shit we are in?

Tragedy and Hope, by Carroll Quigley. was a book that:

Tragedy and Hope: A History of the World in Our Time is a work of history written by former Georgetown University professor, mentor of Bill Clinton, and historian, Carroll Quigley. The book covers the period of roughly 1880 to 1963 and is multidisciplinary in nature though perhaps focusing on the economic problems brought about by the First World War and the impact these had on subsequent events. While global in scope, the book focuses on Western civilization. It is written from a Eurocentric perspective.

Trust me, I read all 800+ pages and the Professor tracks the Dark Lords from 1880-1963 and identifies what was really going on in our world. It is not a book to take lightly. But most illuminating.

He basicly shows how Rhodes, Kimberly and a slew of others fucked over our civilization for their own good. Prescott Bush shows his face too.:)

Another interesting book is "The Riddle Of the Rhine" written in ~1926 that traces the rise and fall of the German Dye industry in WW1. These chemical industries made explosives and poison gases. Lots of big Corporate names in this. Another thing it was the first time that the notion of atomic bombs was printed! This slim little book was important, but overlooked. Available on Gutenberg, about 180 pages.

If the Cambridge Analytica leaks are of this nature it might explain some of the shit we are in?:)

While I here, another book that is pertinent to our current problems.

The True Believer: Thoughts On The Nature Of Mass Movements is a 1951 social psychology book by American writer Eric Hoffer, in which the author discusses the psychological causes of fanaticism.

Hoffer analyzes and attempts to explain the motives of the various types of personalities that give rise to mass movements; why and how mass movements start, progress and end; and the similarities between them, whether religious, political, radical or reactionary. He argues that even when their stated goals or values differ, mass movements are interchangeable, that adherents will often flip from one movement to another, and that the motivations for mass movements are interchangeable. Thus, religious, nationalist and social movements, whether radical or reactionary, tend to attract the same type of followers, behave in the same way and use the same tactics and rhetorical tools. As examples, he often refers to Communism, Fascism, National Socialism, Christianity, Protestantism, and Islam.

Wondering why so many Trump Chumps drink the Kool-aid? Read Eric's book you can trust him he was a longshoreman.:)
