So tell me some things that are fun, painful, and/or sensational but quiet?

My kids complain about the impact noises we make. I love the spankings and so on but I don't want to inflict such sounds on the kids.

I can understand that.

Last year on one of Andantes visits my 18 yr old said

Him: 'He really lasts for an old guy'

Me 'Whaaaaat, what do you mean'

Him: 'You had sex all night'

Me: 'No we didn't, anyway you shouldn't listen.'

Him: 'I can't help but hear you both, the thumping noises are not so bad, its the breathy panting thats really annoying'

Me: COMPLETE SILENCE,
as I slowly realised he really had heard us all night long

I can barely imagine how you must have felt after that conversation :rose: :rose:

And I agree, very sexy picture, Rebecca. Unfortunately, I don't have anything of my own to add.

Well he was very vanilla, but he was open minded too.

A couple of weeks after he turned 18 he sat me down and started a conversation with:

'Now mum, I know your a submissive....'

Then he decided to 'interview' Andante before I met him, and follow that up with dating and safe sex advice going as far as to ask me about my safe sex protection.

The simple instruction to press one's lips tightly together and not make a single sound (regardless of the clamps, corset, inflated trainer, tight high heels, pointed toes and locked ankle cuffs) can work fabulously well.

A violet wand and a ball gag

Fury you have said at least two times I know of that you like temp play how quite are you during that??

That's cool, thank you Serijules! This toy is now on my list but are there any quiet floggers? I heard a soft deer hide one is a good one to start with but I like the stings and the thuds as well as the soft caress.

I know that rose stems are quiet. I figure a cane could be too or that cat fishing pole toy.

There must be others I don't know about.

Curious dear, I am not the "problem" noise here but you paint interesting images.

I don't need the gag but when I can afford it a violet wand is on my want list.

Very, as I am with MOST things, but my husband isn't real comfortable with doing it to me.

Canes are not, IMO "toys". They require a certain skill level and knowledge to use safely. Some will disagree with me. I'll secretely think they are idiots. :)

Anyhow...some people like to play with dowel rods from craft stores and call them canes. Stay away from dowel rods. They are great for crafts...they are idiotic for pain play. A cane and a dowel are nothing alike other than they LOOK similar.

Actual rattan canes (bamboo is not great for beginners) are fairly cheap. Do a search on Hansons Paddles...they have a nice variety cane bundle for a good price.

Acrylic canes are nice too, but again I would stick with those actually made for BDSM use and not cheaper, "vanilla" versions like cat toy rods or whatnot. Some people play with those plastic rods from mini blinds, cane style. These things are alright if used fairly lightly, but any serious play, please stick with professionally made products and make sure your partner does some reading and practicing with them beforehand.

May sound overboard here, but I've seen others be injured and been injured myself by improper use of canes or cane substitutes, and I just don't find any excuse acceptable for cutting corners in this play area.

That being said....canes are FANTASTIC for sensation, pain and quiet (well, cept the bottoms' screams at times :) :) :) )

Floggers...Im not really sure how noise they are, being deaf and all, so this really isn't the best topic for me to be advising on...I don't really tend to think of floggers as noisy toys, especially if you put on some music to mask the sound, I would think it would be fairly easily masked in comparison to say, paddles or hand spankings or things like that. "odd" types of floggers seem to have the most sensation to me, i'm not really a fan of leather floggers...rather boring for me. I love rubber, satin and flexible plastic lacing floggers....all have more bite and sensation to them for me than leather. Leather is nice for warmup, heh. But thats just me :)

You know Leeroy ........I never get sick of reading that line......laughs

A shapely ass with a tail or somesort will always look sexy to me Miss Rebecca, I know you might not have something like this but one of the ladies here at one time had an AV that was very hot in this way too. I think she had a pacifer stuck in her ass like it was sucking on it and I just loved that.

C. is very fond of this approach. He even got snippy over breathing too loud. *That* takes a lot of work. ;)

Fury, I wish I had more advice for you other than to just say good luck -- every so often, it sinks in for someone that I have not seen C in over two months, and they'll say incredulously, "What do you DO to make it tolerable? Do you have toys?" And I just smile and them, and point out that I share a room with a three year old. The horror on their faces... it's priceless.

I hate sharing a room. :p

Boy, are these the truest words ever typed. And I hope people heed this advice. Too many new-to-the-scene-ers jump in head first and don't think. (Personally, I hate the cane. It means nothing but punishment to me and I do everything I can to avoid it.)

That being said, I don't have any quiet ideas for you. I mostly live alone. One of my Doms likes moaning, begging, whining and crying (and He loves the cane.) The other Fella who I occassionally play with, likes all of the above, and screaming. Hard to be quiet when they push you to such an exquisite point.

I do love clothespins, though. They're quiet and delightfully painful. And wooden spoons are pretty quiet, too.

Oh I think I love you.

Now all I have to do is figure out how to get it before we meet again

:)

Fury what about buying a gag.

I find ball gags uncomfortable but bit gags are ok, and if the pain gets really *@*!@ then you can bite hard on it :)

Oh dumb, just realised you were asking how to stop the thudding noises.

sorry, I have no idea; I am too busy trying not to yell I don't notice the thudding sounds
