Shemales, (transsexuals)

A transsexual person is one is who was born with the body of one gender (male or female) but their brain/mind is formed as that of the opposite gender. Since there is no curing the mind of this, the only cure is to change the body via permanent facial/body hair removal, hormones, and various surgeries to match the mind if not completely enough to at least live as the gender that person's mind was born as.

Crossdressers are those that merely derive pleasure usually sexual from dressing as the opposite sex. It's about the pleasure and enjoyment factor versus trying to correct being born in the wrong body.

The term 'shemale' is basically used as either a) an insulting reference towards all transsexuals who are male to female (transwomen); b) towards transwomen that choose to work in the sex industry either as prostitutes or porn stars.

Those born with mixed or ambigious genitalia are intersexuals. The term hermaphrodite is the more commonly used term by the public. But as I understand it that term may be insulting to some intersexual men or women. Unfortunately those born this way are often surgerically altered at birth without any consideration of what gender that person truly is but what doctors or parents think the child should be assigned. Not to mention the surgeries and hormones they are usually forced to undergo as kids and teens by parents and doctors to maintain that often incorrect assignment. So most are assigned and surgically altered wrongly and thus have to go through a lot of hell almost on pare with those born transsexuals to correct that.

I'm sorry. I probably shouldn't have said what I did above. Was a bad day emotionally for me I suppose.

But still basically your above comments especially the "a true devotee to being a real trans-type person" one... I feel seem to have signs of a fetishistic and perhaps to some an insulting mindset on such things yourself. And I mean fetishistic not per se in the sexual denotation.

Well if I had the courage and the $$ I would definitely go for the surgery. Unfortunately I see myself losing a lot if I wre to go that route. I would love to have a real woman's body with all of it's glory. I often compare a woman to a work of art, a sculpture like the Venus De Milo or poetry in motion. I not only envy what they have but covet it as well. I see girls and women of all ages that look as good as they do and think of how unfair it is that I did'nt have the chance to grow up that way and how unfair life has been to me that I may never fulfill my greatest desire.. Like I already stated, If I could wake up tomorrow as a woman and live the rest of my life that way and be treated as if I had always been one I would be very happy

as for being fetishistic,HMMMMM ...... no I don't think so. I mean I do have a fertile imagination and all but I dress whenever I can for as long as I can and tehn go about my daily routine such as cooking, cleaning, doing laundry and so on. Sure I'd like to act out a few scenarios or fantasies but I'd also be content just to go through a regular daily routine as a woman, Getting a job somewhere where I could dress up all nice and professional like. Maybe as a real estate agent or working in a bank or some other high profile position.

Often I am saddened when I have to remove my outer clothes and return to my dull drab clothes for work. Many's the time that along with my wearing panties under my clothes I'll wear pantyhose and maybe even a bra and camisole under my clothes when the weather isn't too hot. I get both envious and excited when I see some of my female co workers or even somen shopping and they have just a hint of lace from their camisole peeking out of their tops. How I wish I could ask them if I could go home with them and borrow something from them. That is something else I admire and envy about women. The close comraderie they have with one another to the point of sharing their clothes.

Well anyway, it is late so I'll pick up on this thread again some other time

Transsexuals are women trapped in a man's body. Some people would say a cross-dresser, but that is something else. A cross-dresser could be a gay man who gets off on dressing up as a school-girl and taking it up the ass, but a transsexual is someone who wishes to live as a woman, and maybe have gender re-assignment surgery.

No and no.

First, transsexuals are someone of one gender trapped in the body of the other. You can't make sweeping generalizations like "transsexuals are..." and then only refer to MTF trannies. I have a few good friends (and even more acquaintances) who are FTM and they are also transsexual.

And actually, most MTF cross-dressers in the United States are heterosexual. They are not gay men (although some drag queens are gay, like RuPaul), they dress in a variety of ways ("schoolgirl" might be one of them) and whether or not they like receiving anal sex has nothing to do with it. They are just as likely to dislike it as they are to like it.

Excellent post.

Are there any transexuals here from Australia? I'd really love to become friends with one, or a good cross-dresser with taste, I kinda need to do some shopping.

Well stated. I would consider myself selectively bi. I am not at all attracted to men but a pretty and passable trans-type person... well sure why not. I still would be turned off by a lot of body hair though. As for anal sex, Although I have tried putting a few objects into my rearend I don't think that I could really engage in the activity unless the person were not too well endowed. The sense of discomfort during the initial penetration is just too great. I would not be averse to certain 'toys' though, again, provided thjat they were not too larce in circumference.
BTW: I AM CANADIAN.

This is all very familiar. I am a man and I have no intention of changing that, but would much prefer to be a woman. My only interest in men is that I quite like cocks (which is why other TVs are nice to play with!). I would never seriously call myself "a lesbian trapped in a man's body" but it does approach the sense of both my attraction and my self-evaluation being in female terms.
