I just read the first chapter. I felt like the writing was decent. There were a couple of places where I felt like the transitions might have been a little rough, but other than that I thought it was a fun quick read. For a first post, it was amazing. Better than a lot of people who have written much more. I'll be posting my first story soon. Here's hoping it's as well recieved.

Thanks for the advice. I also felt the writing was a bit choppy in places, but I figure that's something that will get better with practice.

Having just read the first three chapters and, as someone who has written in this genre and enjoys reading all the stories, I can honestly say that they are really good and I enjoyed them immensely. I just hope you carry on with this story to it's natural conclusion, whatever that could possibly be, and then continue to write even more as you are a very talented writer.
