My girlfriend shaves her pussy, but she almost always gets bumps, and of course the itching. Can anyone recommend any good products to help? We'd both appreciate it.

Also, i took a poster's advice (forget the name right now) and bought the Fukako 9000. I love using it on her during oral and use it on my own ass during masturbation. Good times.

I've heard that if she uses conditioner before shaving it will stop the itching. See the itching comes from the hair growing back and curling as it does. So ya, conditioner. :)

IMHO

and from personal experience... try shaving WITH conditioner. It works well on the legs and any other area :D

She can also try rubbing down the newly shaved area with Vitamin-E lotion or baby oil -- both of these can help.

Also, after showering or bathing, try the lotion rub-down as the hair is growing back...

Hope it helps!

try doing a search on shaving or the bumps.... but limit it to the how-to board, and you should get a lot of results on this.

there is a product called "bikini-zone" -
it's a clear gel -
and it works wonders ~

If you looking for a razor, look into the Seiko Cleancut. It works wonders, and has never nicked me or caused razor burn.

I just recently tried going completely bare, and my boyfriend suggested I use simple baby oil right after I shave, and then lotion or baby oil every now and then over the next few days. It works great for me.

I also shave with a 'body foam' that has aloe in it...maybe that's why I haven't had bumps yet? :)

And when shaving, GO SLOW. When I go too fast on my legs, I also get those bumps. Never fails.

Ok this is the 143rd shaving thread this year and no one has yet mentioned "magic"?

Magic breaks me out. I shave with Aveeno shaving Gell and I use a nickel sized dab of Neosporin after each shave ..... no more bumps ever.

I went on that sight to order Magic and it said I can't order it because it only costs $3 and the minimum order is $10. What bullshit! No Magic for me. I'm not spending $7 on crap I don't want for a $3 bottle of Magic. Bahh!

Anyway, I use deodorant on my bikini area after shaving and don't get bumps. Also, soaking in a hot bath to soften the hairs and going slow with lots of shaving cream helps.

gets the red out

I have heard (don't know if it's an UL or not) that Visine (sp?) works wonders.

Thanks to everyone who offered advice, even if this is the 143rd thread on shaving.

Do I hear 144??!!?? :D

I'm a fan and wish I could talk my g/f into trying it. She isn't keen on it and prefers hair on me, so... :( We have started talking about trimming though (fingers crossed!) ;)

I would be careful with the magic cream. I bought some and tried it. My test area was fine but when I put on a full application I broke out pretty good. Also, I found that my hair grew back faster than with a simple Mach 3. For a lot of people on here Magic has been a miracle worker but it doesn't work for everyone. Be careful.

I just shave in the bath after I've soaked for a bit.
Of course I know most people take showers so that might not work as well, but if you take baths, just shave as part of your normal bathing routine and it works very well.
I shave all the 'bits' personally and never have problems with bumps or itching at all.

To stop the red bumps..

I have been shaving for 4-5 years now. and if you use hydrogen peroxide, and RUB in with a wash rag after you shave.. NO MORE Bumps.

my miracle product...

listen, try putting neosporin or a cream like that designed to reduce redness and scars (makes sense when you think about it). it really helped me when almost nothing else would. also, vaseline will work, but not as well. wishing you good luck!

try using an electric razor, or even a beard trimmer they both work well, and dont leave those annoying bumps
