How do you go about getting everything completely smooth? The problem I'm having is that when I shave with the grain I get a majority of the hair off, but it still leaves stubble. The only way I can get rid of the stubble is to go against the grain. The problem with that is that it almost pulls the hairs out and I start bleeding. Mainly the spots that still have stubble are right around the base of my cock. I've tried different/new razors with no luck. I've checked out quite a few threads about shaving on here but most deal with ingrown hairs and razor burn.

From watching several years of threads about shaving, the answer to a smooth result is to use a depilatory like Magic Shave(tm) (powder or lotion) --- unless you have sensitive skin; make sure you follow the instructions exactly and do the skin test.

I haven't shaved my husband in a while, but IIRC, he always has a little stubble around the base of his cock. It's a tough area to get. The good news is that it's a miniscule amount, and I never feel it during sex, or even oral. I suppose if I stuck my tongue right there I would, but even then it wouldn't be a big deal.

The only thing I can think of that might get that area better with less irritation is one of the "microtrimmers" You know, like they advertise on TV? (They're available in the shaving section of most drug stores and mass merchadisers for under $10, though) They're kind of handy for grooming, anyway, so it might be worth a try.

Other than that, I'd say just go with the grain and leave it be from there, assuming it's as unobtrusive as my husband's.

I think a depiliatory works much better than shaving, I keep my shaft and sack smooth all the time. Just make sure you test a small patch to make sure it doesnt "disagree" with your skin type.

I have to use a longer time than the package recommends, but I have very coarse hair. I would recommend followin the directions to the letter the first few times.
