A Mach III Or whatever number we are up to now will do the job just fine and dandy, at least for 24 hours or so, after that its razor rash and pimple growback city. If you/he are not used to shaving its going to itch like an itchy thing once growback starts as well.

4) contemplate waxing
5) enlist as an extra on Nip/Tuck for a hair removal scheme

I've been shaving since the mid 80's, never had a serious cut. I've had a couple of minor nicks, cuz I hate to spend money on razor blades, so every once in awhile, when I go too long on one blade, I pay for it with a little nick.
I hear people complainging about itching and rashes and stuff, or worrying about cuts. Sissies!
If you can shave your face, you can shave your balls. If you just take your time and be careful, you'll be fine.
I'd be faaarrrr more worried about the effect of chemical depilitories in the genital area. I thought about it once, 'till I read the label. No fucking way! I'll take my chances with the blade...
