Hi All
Im a little confused is Magic a shaving lotion? or a shaving powder? Do you shave with it? Do you put it on after you shave? Whats up with it, The stuff I saw at local Target was shaving powder, but also said depilatory, Im a little confused, I know this has been discussed again again in here on Lit. I have read all posts I could find on it, and Im still scratching my head. Any clearification will be greatly appreciated..

Magic (lotion or powder equally) is a depilation product. So actually it has nothing do do with "shaving" basically but is a kind of "shaving replacement" if you allow that comparison.

I just want to add a hint for the Europeans(mainly Germans): I can't find magic here easily, but I have spotted (and test run )a similar product (cream/lotion) by veet! (a greenish/white tube)that works just as well and even smells nicer. Although I am very sensitive skinwise, this one passed the "bumps and ingrown hair" test as well as magic.

The stuff yousaw at Target is what we're talking about -- "Magic Shave (tm) depilitory."

The original formula is a powder, but it also comes in a cream or lotion formula and in different strengths. There are also some "aftershave" products in the Magic Shave (tm) line.

If you already know your skin is sensitive, I'd suggest trying the "sensitive skin" version (which I've only seen as a lotion.)

Follow the instuctions exactly -- especially the patch test!

don't know about VEET, but MAgic is fine on the lips; that's the whole point: to get the hair off the outer labia without irritating the skin and without leaving stubble. If you have never licked and sucked on perfectly smooth and soft lips .... the it's time you did!

I don't think either VEET or Magic would be much problem with the outer labia.

It's the inner labia and the mucus membranes inside that are likely to burn painfully if you get any depilitory on them. Depilitories are, by their very nature, somewhat caustic and should be kept away from eyes and mucus membranes.

Ok I have a question about this Magic stuff...does it really get you smooth??? Every depilitory I've ever used just breaks the hair off. You're still nubby feeling. I've never used one "down there" but I've been thinking about it. Since getting pregnant this time I've been itching like crazy!!! My SO trims me but it's still not enough...for some reason I'm staying moist this time around.

Check out Lobito's avatar. (last time I saw it it was a closeup shot of the results of using Magic.)

I haven't used Magic, but Cheyenne and others have. It reportedly dissolves the hair roots, leaving you very smooth.

Don't know how Magic works exactly (mediaeval history degree not chemistry...)

But it leaves us completely smooth; Mrs Golden and I are both fair and soft, so for a few days after Magic it is as if there never had been hair, and then it grows back soft. Whereas if I shave us, we are stubbly and scratchy in no time at all.

This is true of her lips and my sac; we both leave the mons with its fur on.

So go for it Brat!
