Hi all,

My wife likes to shave her bikini line and sometimes her whole area. Trouble is she has such sensitive skin, she gets the red bumps and it hurts for several days after. Any advice on razors? She uses the Gilette Venus with tons of shaving cream and it doesn't seem to help. Any help would be appreciated!

Moisturizing helps

Conditioning helps. She may want to shave after a nice bath. Using aloe vera based moisturing cream after the shave may minimize the bumps...

Also, using a brand-new razor every time is said to help.

My girlfriend just shaved me bare for the first time last night, we are both loving it. :)

Keeping it shaved helps alot. I shave daily, its become something that requires no thought for me.

There are new shaving cremes and lotions that minimize hair regrowth. Those do work.

I also had the same problem for quite some time before discovering a special mentholated shaving gel called King of Shaves. It is basically a shaving gel designed for men with sensitive skin and contains aloe, vitamin E and tea tree oil.

Once I started using this I ceased to have a problem, but here are a few other tips I picked up through trial and error.

1. Always shave with the grain of your hair
2. Always use a brand new razor
3. Use special gel designed for shaving sensitive skin
4. Moisturise straight after with a moisturiser that is specifically designed also for sensitive skin.

Now I have no probs whatsoever, so good luck, and I hope this helps.
