Has anyone tried writing a story with their partner?

I started a story and wrote the opening paragraph and gave it to my girlfriend she then added her portion (a paragraph or two). Writing separately, but together as one evolving story, not knowing where it would lead.

The anticipation waiting for the disc to be returned with the new portion was numbing.
