Shanah Tova to all of my fellow Jews!! I wish you a sweet new year, and may you all be inscribed in the Book of Life. L'shanah habaah b'yerushalaim!!!!!!!!!! :rose:

Well, I will be unable to go to shul since I'm recuperating from surgery. However, I hope all of you can make it to shul. Followed, of course, but a family feast!! :) Yummy, I'm gonna miss that!!

Here's hoping for a happy Rosh Hashanah and a peaceful Yom Kippur...

OK Naughty. I'm not Jewish but I have this thing about understanding religious rituals/sayings/holidays/etc...

Can ya 'splain "Shanah Tova" and "L'shanah habaah b'yerushalaim" to me?? Use little words and type slowly please.. I'm kind of a slow reader! ;) Learn me!

I'd be happy to learn you :D Shanah Tova means Happy New Year. L'shanah habaah b'yerushalaim means Next Year in Jerusalem, which is used frequently even though most people don't really mean it. :confused:

Now, about those private learning lessons................

I wish I could observe Rosh Hashanah at the synagogue and with my sister and her family. :(
