~ I just read Rozez return post to me - and realize that I should have included a translation for those who may not speak French. Sorry - I forgot.

"I do not know, Madame (in response to your 'wonderful woman' - it's something I don't think of myself as). Your compliment is too kind, my friend - it is truth."

I am not used to getting/receiving compliments - they have never been given as a steady thing... so when I get one, I'm never sure what to say - other than "thank you", which at times just doesn't sound quite adequate - and as a further result, I end up blushing a little and feeling as if I am inadequate or unworthy.

:eek: Thank you, sincerely, for the compliment Rozez. I will try harder to be as you, and apparently others, see me.
:eek:

Good morning everyone! :kiss: for the ladies. Just checkin in before a busy day off. Hope everyone is well.

Good Morning Victoria....I just wanted to tell ya I can sooo relate to what you speak. I too, have never been used to getting compliments and to this day have a hard time acknowledging them correctly. It makes me feel inadequate too! It's funny tho, now that I'm divorced, I seem to get more compliments than I am used to. Sometimes it makes me feel funny, but they are getting a bit easier to take as I find myself likeing "Me" more and more.

It's truly amazing how much self esteem a bad marriage can eat up! Kinda scary when ya think of all the unhappily married people out there.
Anyhow..GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!!!!

~ Hi yourself, Jazey. I'm sorry you went through it also - and yes, it is sad at how much self-esteem a bad (horrid) marriage eats up. After just so much verbal abuse, it's as if one has a tendency to shut down and go into hiding - and takes their self-worth with them; leaving one extremely exposed and very vulnerable.

It's nice to know that I am still an on-going work in progress. I hope that I too soon find myself on the door step of "liking ME" as well. {{{{Jazey}}}}

Thank you all for the boosts to my lagging morale. :kiss: to all
:)

You knew I was going to see this and comment right? Right? Huh? Not sure what to say when someone gives you a compliment? How about 'Thank you' and smile. That's all you need to do. It is quite adequate. People don't compliment inadequate or unworthy people. If someone gave you a compliment, it's what they think. So just smile, and say thank you. There are times when people compliment me and I think they are insane. But I just say thank you. It's all that's required.

Now.....(You knew there was gonna be more too)

Blushing is ok. It must be. I do it all the time. Just ask Shad, Ms.B, Wyld and some others. They are all quite good at making me blush. But honestly V, there is nothing inadequate about you. Convince yourself of that because it's true. I know you. I don't befriend people who are unworthy or inadequate. Now for your homework look in the mirror 10 times a day and say "I am AWESOME" :D Come on....Do it
