.o0( Either of your dear wives? ) *Holds her tongue against further questions that may be considered 'nosey' or none of her business* When my man-child was younger, a mere child himself, I could chatter on about him as well. Now.... unless I am really riled or pissed with him... I try not to say anything about him.

Yes dear, wives. I am married legally to Wyldfire and am religiously married to Darkkitty. Wyldfire and Darkkitty are also religiously married to each other as well.

Hi. Dads go on about their kids as well. About your last sentence: my youngest is 29. 29? It seems like yesterday he was born. And my oldest is 36. Hell. Time goes by VERY quickly indeed.

Heh. My oldest gets tired of my doting.

You are right. I remember when my son was born my mother told me that I would be amazed at how time flew by and I didn't believe her. Well, as usual, she was right.

Don't all Mom's chatter on about their kids? Mine....almost failed math this year. I'm really not pleased. He got straight A's in everything but math. But he is now in high school. I have no idea how I became old enough for a high school kid

Hi Swain

~ Golly! I find it hard to believe the school year flew by so fast already. It seems like just yesterday you were buying clothes for his last year of middle school - and now suddenly - he's a Freshman in high school!

~ DAYUM this year went by fast!

"Don't fuss; I'm not five any more" Sound familiar? Yeah - been there, seen the video, got the t-shirt1

I've been getting that from him for the past three years. He told me that for the first time and he wasn't even six yet.

~ Z! You're a pleasant sight! The man-child of mine is 29 - and as Misty can attest to... he's MORE than a thorn in my side... he's more like a permanent PIA!! :D There are days, believe it or not, that I would gladly give this house for him to be living back in FL. again.

Hi, V. Nice to see you too. Up to when my eldest was 29 we were concerned about where in life he was going - mainly then polished his chair with his trousers - but he got up, got a proper job, and settled down with a really lovely lady. I think his 30th birthday made him stop and think. Night for now. 10,20 p.m. for me

Sell the house and then go to Florida.

Enough of talking about him...how are you feeling?

~ *Nods in agreement* ;) I am good basically... I sleep about 2 maybe 3 hours a night... then toss and turn the rest. The heat in this house it energy sapping at best... leaving the air in the bedrooms (yes, all three), stiffling and suffocating.

Move here *nods* It's still hot but not like what y'all get

~ Heh. I don't mind the humidity even. Surely it isn't as bad there as in Mass or Rhode Island. I'll let the man-child have FL weather, thanks. He doesn't mind the hurricanes and loves fishing. This dry heat is worse than the humid-heat for me, in a great many ways.

I don't mind the hurricanes either but I think you know what would happen if he ever moved near me *WEG*

Got to run....ball practice is in a little while and it takes Mr. Popular 30 minutes to primp for the girls. LMAO

~ *Gives a deep-throated wicked chuckle at your WEG... and only nods in agreement as she thinks a certain phrase* ;)

*LMAO!* "Mr. Popular" takes THIRTY MINUTES to primp... for a ball game?? :D ;)

Well, yeah he has to look hot for the chicks on the sidelines afterall. He's the first basemen. He's good. But it's so funny to sit on the sidelines and see a kid so full of himself, and the girls about drooling and saying hi to him. Who'd have thought my cute little baby is now becoming one of "The" guys to have like you. *Snorts* Remember those days?

~ *LoL* OMG! Do I ever! When I was in middle school - it was then grades 7 - 9 and was called Junior High; what's with this "middle school" crap they call it now? The ones to have like you then was the "Hall Guards"... *LoL* And the one who liked me was named Bruce - tall, Blonde and Blue-eyed. He always used to meet up with me at our regular Friday night sock-hops in the school cafeteria. *Can't believe I can remember his name after all this time!*

And...
On a separate note:
We're having our first fire of the season... started, like last year, by kids playing with firecrackers... down in the Bosque... which is just north of the Isleta Indian Pueblo lands... and Rio Grande and just south of I-25. It's at the far SW area of the city. It started on the West Bank of the River... and then suddenly jumped across the water to the East Side... just like last year... only further South this time.

LOL V....they call it middle school in the south and junior high in the north. I'm not sure about anywhere else though.

I hope you are safe from the fire.....why don't you send the 'boy' down to help put it out :D Then you will get some peace and quiet

~ It is effecting the south-west valley area only at present hon... I'm in the heights. But it drives our "fire danger" alert home! There is NO WHERE that is 'safe' in this city... every area has its fire danger areas. But I am safe hon... honest. I'd tell you if it wasn't so.

I did, however, get the distinct impression that the man-child, as a trained Fire/EMT who received his training in FL, was wanting to head into the fire to help. He was in school when 9/11 happened... and he begged his LT. to take him with him. He wanted to help so badly.

And it's called "middle school" out here too... which is so DUMB! *L* :D It's flippin' JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL PPL!! DUH!! :p

*LMAO!* You are priceless!! While I may be living in the SOUTHwest.... we WERE considered a YANKEE territory in "the war". Now how do I figure that one out? :p :D

To get to me... it would have to go UPHILL and burn through the down town area first... and the university area... and the lower heights.
