Shadow Steps (Closed for Asa)

Ryan smiled and then flagged the waitress down. "We'll take these to go now," he said with a smile. He looked over at Liria and saw her a little shocked. He smiled and then shrugged innocently.

"I'd rather you were comfortable than feel like you want to go. We can do something else some other time. Let's go watch that movie," he said, standing up and offering her his hand.

Wecan finish our food Ryan it's alright.

She sighed screwing up already just like she told Garrett she would do

Ryan smiled and shook his head. "It's ok. I want to go as well. I feel too stiff here and just want to be comfortable with you," he said, helping her up and then paying for the food.

As they walked out to his truck, Ryan took Liria's hand and squeezed it gently, letting her know she hadn't screwed up or anything like that. He smiled at her as she looked up, reassuring her.

Feeling the squeeze to her hand and his smile she relaxed a little and leaned against him some as they walked to the truck. Once back at the house the first order of business in her mind was change back into normal clothing and relax gesturing to the movies she shrugged.

See what ya want to watch there or we can order one from the On Demand or whatever. Kinda got a Ratpack movie collection over there addiction I picked up from Dad.

She then closed the door to her room to get changed.

Ryan smiled as he went out to his truck, quickly changing as well. Old habits died hard, and he always had two sets of clothes in his truck. He went back inside and selected a few movies. Clue, El Dorado, and Young Frankenstein made the cut, and he laid them out as he got the rest of their dinner set up on the table, grabbing plates, forks, knives, and napkins.

She walked back out in some soft cotton pants and a t shirt from one of the teams on the base.

There much better. So whats on the movie agenda tonight?

Ryan smiled as he snuggled deeper into the couch, getting more comfortable.

"The three on the table. It's up to you which one we watch though," he said as he started to eat slowly.

I have not watched Clue in forever wanna start with that one?

She walked over and set up the DVD player and walked back over to the couch curling up smiling softly to him.

Ryan smiled back then cleared the food, seeing as both of them were full. He sat back down and made himself comfortable, happy to be spending time with her.

He wasn't going to push her to sit closer, but stretched out, getting more comfortable and relaxed.

She sat there for a while till she began getting a little tired and unconsciously curled up against him and smiled softly her eyes half closed as she watched the last half of the movie drifting to sleep by the time the movie was over.

He wrapped his arm around her, holding her closer as she drifted off. Once the movie was over, he gently picked her up and carried her to her bed before lying down next to her as she snuggled in closer. He wrapped his arms around her and slowly drifted off as well.

She slept till morning curled there with him. She woke with a start feeling someone there with her and then quickly noted they were still both dressed and calmed a little. It was strangely comforting to find him there with her as a smile curled her lips softly.

He just smiled and held her tighter, having woken up when she gently moved. He didn't know whether or not she would be mad for this, but he really was enjoying holding her close.

She was not sure what to think but she did realize that she was smiling and that she had curled closer against him. Garrett's words on just let things happen but stay safe echoed in her mind as she felt safe and this felt almost perfectly natural.

He smiled and then relaxed, letting her get as comfortable as she wanted while curling up next to him.

Morning already? Thats too bad... Guess we both have to get to work.

She laid there feeling safe warm and less than willing to move beyond the fact that work could not be avoided.

Ryan just chuckled. He looked at her and shook her head. "Liria, it's Saturday. I don't work Saturdays. Do you?" he asked, chuckling since he knew that she only worked Saturdays if there was something urgent. Unfortunately her superiors didn't realize how good of a writer she was, so she didn't get the weekend pieces a lot of the time. He was actually curious as to whether or not she worked or not though.

I have to get this rash of stuff turned in and see if another interview I am to do is back from vacation yet.

Could always swing by there together if you think you could handle the camera duty without drooling too much. The Interview is with a rather famous Singer/actress Depending on what side of the ocean you are on. She has been doing some humanitarian gigs in both acting and Singing and publicly turned down in international TV and radio requests for concerts in countries where human rights violations and other such things like that happen as commonly as breathing... you know like China/Tibet and several other countries.

He just smiled and then nodded. "That works, since I have a suit with me. I promise not to drool too much, although it won't be her causing the drooling," he said with a wink. He smiled as she blushed, loving the reaction he got.

She laughed a little and finally tore herself from the bed and sighed as she wandered off to get ready for the day. She called out from the other room.

Her file is on the desk in the spare room. Blue folder.

Ryan nodded as he went out to get changed. He came back in in a black suit with a red tie. It wasn't exactly a cameraman's outfit, but it was the only clean set of clothes he had, so they would just have to do.

As he started reading the file, he smiled. this would be a slam dunk for her. She knew what she was doing and the questions to ask this diva. He set the folder down and then waited for her to come out of the room and for them to be on the way.

Moments later she walked out in a pair of slacks and nice top with her hair pulled back and low heels on. Smiling to him she glanced over the suit and nodded.

A tad over dressed but she should like it.

She laughed and grabbing the folder and a few other things including the camera equipment she headed for the door.

He smiled and followed her, waiting to see which vehicle she would want to use. His truck had more room, but was more noisy, with it's diesel engine. Her sedan was more low profile. It was up to her, but his mind was constantly sidetracked as she walked in that outfit.

The clothing hugged her in all the right places, showing off her curves. He really liked how she had styled her hair. It wasn't over the top, and radiated a professional attitude, but not a cold nature. He couldn't help but smile from it all.

Walking to her car she glanced over to him.

Hop in we are meeting her and the Sushi bar where Dad told you to find me. She has always wanted to try it and its a little more relaxed and quiet than the set

She noted the smile on his face and turning back to her car bit her lips still finding this alien that someone could feel anything for her that was not a soldier or that she could feel anything like this.

He nodded and climbed into the passenger seat, then looked at her, waiting.

As she drove to the sushi bar, he kept quiet, contemplating how things were going, hoping he wasn't pushing her too much, or pushing her away.
