Shadow Hunters

Shadow walked through the streets with his hands shoved in his pockets, while kicking a empty soup can. "Damn... I'm so tired. But I need to keep going.... Just a littel longer." He kept like this until he came to a park. "Guess I can sit down..."

Shadow sat down, looking at every person in the park "Human... human, human..." He quickly came upon some body a little younger than him. He looked fairly normal, except for two traits.

1: he was looking every wear, like somebody was after him. and
2: He had red eyes.

"I think we found a winner..." shadow got up, and walked toward him

Thallock

"Not my job." He said to his superior. He felt the fist crashing into the side of his head even before the words were out. And into the wall he went. His vision changed, and there was pain. There was always pain. He straightened himself out, shaking his head.

"You wretch! You say it, a hunter, before the scout got to it-and you did nothing? A fresh killing, that soon, would have definitely pleased the master."

Thallock stared ahead, looking through his superior, beyond. Confusion, worry, panic, terror, death. He didn't mind the first two much, but the others were begining to cause him worry. What was he doing. He felt a hand take ahold of his sunglasses, pulling them off. The light burned, forcing him to his knees. All across his body, muscles twitched.

"You listen here, you smile! You're almost too weak to be of any use to us, but you're good bait, and you're good at finding the cracks in their defense. Besides, the master has plans for you. I don't want to here crap like this again, Thallock. Your job is evil."

The sunglasses were tossed at demon, now frozen on the ground, mouth open in a silent scream. The other left the room, turning off the lights as it did. It took a few moments for darkness to set in. Minutes after that, he merely lay, taking in the heightened sense that came when the pain was over.

"Do, act, react. Fight, battle, kill. Or question?"

Valkir

A small satisfaction came over Valkir. It was almost enough to move his face to a small grin... almost.
He didn't like answering to those who would be superiors either, but he never really talked to them. He choose his own path, to seek and kill, and it was a path that didn't need to be altered, for it pleased the Master.
From his place in the shadows he had watched Thallock wrip in agony. He had little use for this entity. It toyed with it's enemy. It played pranks and games. It drew pleasure from such pathetic little devices. He couldn't understand the motive for these things. They were a waste of time. But he did have a small respect for the demon. He was good at finding the Hunters. Valkir had followed Thallock many times, and many times owed him for the blood on his blade, but he would never admit it, or thank anyone. If Thallock got in the way of his kill, he wouldn't hesitate to clear a path, but for now Thallock was of use, and he never killed his own unless no other option was left. For now he washes his cape over the form, taking some of it's pain unto himself. He enjoyed the pain, and had little of it lately. He grimaced slightly as the knife of wrath went from one temple to the other. Then he smiled, backed up, and faded again into the darkness.

Shadow watched the boy carefully 'Ok shade... Just don't let him notice you looking at him... Uh-oh!' Shadow quickly got up, the same time the boy got up 'Go the other way, and when he thinks you're not following him... follow him!'

Quickly the boy jolted out the park "Ah son of a bitch!"

Raven found the scout to be somewhat charming and felt herself begin to relax. Also the glance at his soul she had been granted had shaken her to her core. There was something about that man, something she couldn't put her finger on. He seemed so familiar to her. Stop! she ordered herself. There were alot more important matters right now then a stupid feeling she got around a guy. Like the shadow hunters, she could feel the other presence inside of her. The presence was full of energy, she could feel the waves coursing through her. But she was afraid as well. So much was at stake. Her brothers life, thoughts of her brother caused her smile to fade. What if she had to kill him? Could she do it? Cursing softly under her breath she wondered just what the hell she had gotten herself into.

Seth

As I continue to walk through the park I start to hear a voice.'Everything is going to be alright, you are safe now.' I look around for a minute or 2 and then I hear it again.'I am inside of you'.

"What do you meen your inside me", I say as I look at myself.

'I am the spirit of a Shadow Hunter, everthing will be revealed in time. The one thing I will tell you is that I felt sorry for you after seeing your parents get killed by a demon'

"This is to much", I walk to the area of the park that has benchs around a see a couple off people thier. As I am looking at the people I notice a sort of red wave around one of them

."What is that", i ask.

'That would be a demon, the one advantage to having a Shadow hunter spirit inside of you is that you get the gifts of that spirit. I just happen to have a small but useful one. The red signifis that a demon is present and if you see a white light that is another spirit.'

As I am looking at the guy I see him take off. I then notice someone else watching him. He has a white hue around him.

Scout leaned down, looking face to face at Raven. His sunken eyes, looked as if so much age and wisdom were there, but despite how old the eyes said he was, the youth and agility still swam in there. Almost as if it were being forced to stay there.
He took out a small dagger, placing it in his palm.
"I know you're going through some confusing times here, young one. Believe me, it is only temporary. Your body just can't take two souls inside it at once. I've seen it happen before, never a pretty sight."
Slowly, he let the blade of the dagger slip down his palm. His flesh was torn through, sending fresh blood to spill out.
"Now, give me your hand," he showed her the dagger, "It doesn't hurt as bad as you think it does Raven, and things will be so much clearer. Let me help you."

Raven's gaze met and was held by that of the Scouts.
Let me help you."She looked down for a moment her mind a mess of thoughts and questions then she glanced back up at the scout meeting his gaze again. The sense of familiarity rushed through her again but she ignored it. Along with familarity came a sense of safty and comfort. Finally she nodded and held out her hand taking her first step towards her destiny.

He gazed into her eyes, just for a moment, trying to lock onto here. The fear and confusion floating through her, not just on this night, but the questions she had asked herself for years and years. All of the doubt and terror in her heart, he seized as he looked at her, and tried, at least to calm it down for a few minutes.
The dagger dug into her palm. It had some chemicals on the blade, making the fesh it touch numb to a certain point, but he was still cutting into her flesh, the pain was still there. It had been dulled, but it was present.
"Right now, you have two souls inside of you. This is a simple spell to combine them. It will make you merge with the spirit of the hunter inside. You two will be bonded, one, apart of each other."
He placed his palm up with hers, letting the two cuts dig into each other. Blood flowing between the two hands, as he mentally reached through the wound, through the pain. His eyes closed as he searched her for something.
After a moment, he pressed his hand hard against hers. Both hands shaking slightly, as he kneeled down to the floor for strength.
Opening his eyes, he took his hand away, and wiped it clean. The would was gone. Hers had stopped bleeding, but it was still there.
Reaching over to the far table, he grabbed a small piece of cloth and gently wrapped it around her arm. When he was done, he held it lovingly in his own.
"There you go. The easy part is over, now you should lie down, there is a bedroom past the kitchen over there. Take one of the beds and relax. You're going to feel weird for the next couple of hours, hearing voices, feeling strange parts of your body ache for no reason, but it's normal. The spirit inside you is just making herself comfortable. If somene talks to you, answer her, I don't doubt she has a few questions for you, they always do."
With the blade wiped clean, Scout stood up, and turned to the other man in the room.
"Your next."

*santiago just kinda peered at the scout and raven. He hadn't a clue who they were, or what they were going on about. He just knew that he felt weird when they cut eachother did some sorta blood brother ritual...or somethin. When it was all said and done, he smirked as the scout said he was next, and shook his head.*

I aint gettin cut. I've been cut, plenty in the last 24 hours hombre. I'm sure that whatevers wrong with me, doesn't have to be fixed by joining some weird cult. Unless you can explain yourself man, I don't think I'll be sharin blood with someone I don't even know. Besides, you could have some weird ass disease and not even know about it!

'Man... Two of them? Or is it three?' Shadow thought, as he felt two other wierd vibes near him 'Ok... I see one of them... What the? thats not a dark vibe! But what is it? Same for the other!? The hell?'

All of a sudden, the third Energy Shadow felt came rushing after him. Having no choice because of its great speed, the energy hit Shadow entering his body "GHH..."

Almost instanly, Shadow droped to his knees seeing things he had never seen in his life 'Whats... Whats going on!? Whats happening to me? It can't be a demon... I would be able to fight it... Who or what did this to me?'

Scout looked at the man, skepticism there. Some of them had it some didn't. Apparently, the spirit wasn't as strong inside him as her. It didn't matter though, he appreciated it.
"It's not a weird cult or anything. All I'm doing is aligning the two souls inside you. Right now there are two inside one body, and in time it will become unbearable to even stand. You will overheat from the inside out, and make a nasty stain on my rug"
He walked over to Santiago, holding his palm out to him. The knife was now gripped tightly in his other hand as he lowered it to the palm, specifically to one finger. The first finger, with a sickening sound he cut deep into it. The flesh tore away easy enough, but he winced slightly as he ground the knife against bone.
The finger dropped into his palm, as he took it and looked at it carefully. Blood still squirting from the end that he had just cutten off.
"Watch carefully," he said, holding up his now severed hand. At first nothing happened, blood trickled down it, past the wrist and down all the way to the elbow. It made small trails which became bigger as more blood flowed.
Eventually though, there came a small pice of pink flesh. It seemed to emerge right from the blood stump, sticking straight up. The finger, growing slowly out of the very flesh it had just been taken from, defying all odds of regeneration and replacing the one he had just cut off.
It was bloody and looked very raw next to the other fingers, but it was there just the same. Scout leaned far, throwing the finger into the trash.
"I have been granted the ability to regerate any part of my body. I can never get sick, never die, never lose an arm, or even get a scar. I can have no diseases, in fact, my blood is probably more clean than yours."
He wiped the finger clean, and showed it to him.
"I do hate to rush this all, but there is another spirit calling. The worst thing that will happen is you get a headache in the morning, but what lays beyond this exchange is much much better. Trust me."
He wiped the blade clean again as well.

Seth

As I was staring at the man I saw a bright burst if light enter his body."What just happend"

'You have just witnessed a Shadow hunters spirit enter someone. Maybe you should go over and check on him'

I take the advice and walk over to him and put him up on the bench."Hey are you ok, can you hear me in there."

'Depending on how his body reacts he will be out for a little bit. It can sometimes do that to a new human host'

"What you said it happen to a human host why didn't that happen to me"

'To tell you the truth I don't even know, when the Scout finds you he might be able to tell us why. As for know I think we should watch over him until he comes around.'

I sit on the bench for about 10 minutes and notice that he is carrying a sword. I reach down to touch it when I hear,'Get you damn hands away from my blade'.

"Get your damn hands away from my blade!" Instantly Shadow bolted up from the bench, pulling out his sword. "Who or what are you!" Shadow was in a state of panic, he didn't know what was going on, and he refused to not know instantly

'Easy there Shadow!'

"Wh- What the hell!?!"

'Calm down, you'll be fine. Just stop panicing!'

Shadow didn't know if he lost it or somebody just entered his mind like a second rate home that was free to any jackass who could get in it first.

"Alright. What did you do to me!?! Its like you put a yerk in my head or something!!!"

*santiago watched with a grossed out look on his face. "aww man this dude has some problems." He thought to himself. And almost instantly another thought replied. "He doesn't really have problems, the scout's just a bit..ahhh excentric man. Now move your ass allready pal, I for one am itchin to kick some demon ass and your holdin up the show. Don't you know it isn't polite to keep a lady waiting?" Santiago's eyes damn near bugged out of his head at the mind voice and scratched his head in confusion. "Lady?! I got some chick in me?? Look, I understand that whole demon thing. I mean you kinda convinced me of that, well sorta. I mean I could just be insane, but don't expect me to wear skirts and check out other guys! You hear me!?" The mental voice just snickered. "sure sure". He looked to the scout, seeming quite perplexed.*

Allright man. The little voices in my head say to trust you so I guess thats good enough. but urmmm...No cuttin my finger off man.

*He then held out his hand for the scout to do his thing on.*

"Calm down, I did absolutly nothing to you."

'Tell him what happend'

"Ok this is going to sound odd but you now have a Shadow Hunters Spirit inside of you. Ok now here is the weird part. You can communicate with it. As far as I know you know should have a special gift. Would you please put the blade down I will not hurt you"

'Now why did you have to go tell him that. You probably just pissed him off. The only reason I told you about your ability was because you can't turn this ability off. Well get on with it, just tell that he will eventually be approached by a man that is called the scout and tell him not to worry. Also tell him to try to get in touch with his new spirit.'

"Is there anything else you highness. For a spirit you talk a lot"

'Just get on with it'

"Ok Shadow I am supposed to tell you 2 things. The first is that my spirit wants you to try to communicate with your new spirit, and two that a man called the Scout will be around for you and when he comes you are supposed to go with him. If you want we can go for a walk to get away from the people so that you don't look like a wierdo talking to yourself."

I look around and see people staring at us. Well I guess somebody talking to themselves and a another man holding a sword toward him is a little strange. I just don't hope they call the cops.

'I was having the exact same thoughts', I heard my quick witted spirit shout out.

"Please next time not so loud, great I got a pounding headache now"

'well you got the scoop now don't you buddy?'

'Who are you?'

'I'll explain later Joey, right now, can we get the hell out of here?'

'HOW DID YOU KNOW MY REAL NAME!?!'

'Easy!'

'Easy my foot...' "Ok... We can go... But first things first. I gotta grab that kid!"

"I assure you, nothing horrible will happen. It's just a normal prodecure for all spirit jumping hosts."
He cut one more deep into his hand, and then moved to do the same to Santiago. He held the man firmly, but as gentle as he could.
The two palms pressed together. Scout felt himself shudder slightly, weak int he knees. He surged part of himself through the blood bond, into his body, through to his soul. The center of everything.
There, it was a short measure, he seemed to hold both entities in his mind. His own soul had both Santiago's and the shadow spirit. Carefully he pulled them together. The two spirits joining at the hip, becoming one, merging to make themselves both Santiago.
He pulled away his hand, the wound on his palm already closing up. Walking over to the kitchen,. he grabbed a small piece of cloth and handed it to him.
"It should be healed by the morning, you'll find fast healing just a part of the new things happening to you. I suggest you lie down though, get some rest. It's just for a couple of hours, some weird things might happen."
Moving back to the kitchen he cleaned himself off. Blood running down the sink, the once painful wound now nothing more than a memory. He had been doing it for several hundred years and it still surprised him.
"You going to be ok over here?" He asked.

Raven laid on the bed staring at the ceiling struggling to stay calm. Her whole body was humming and a million memories that weren't hers flashed behind her minds eye. Voices spoke as well, from every direction. She didn't recognize any of them, some filled her with serenity... others filled her with terror. One voice in particular stood out, a young womans. She was calm and rational, always coming up with the logical solution. Then her voice changed and it become full of emotion. Somehow Raven knew this voice, and somehow Raven knew it would be with her until the end. 'who are you?' Raven thought. 'I am a spirit, my name is not important. You would not be able to pronounce it properly anyway. Just refer to me as your partner. We are partners you know, from now on. Your completely and utterly stuck with me. It's only logical that you should need my help. I will guide you through your tough destiny ahead. And it will be tough, don't doubt it. You'll learn how to truly hate someone, but you also learn about love. You'll be hurt. lost. and alone. But you have to always remember, your a hunter before anything else. If you doubt that then you do not stand a chance against the hordes of darkness.' Raven frowned at the words but somehow she knew what the spirit spoke was true. Suddenly feeling extremely drowsy Raven closed her eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep.

Escape...

A sharp jab in his side brought Alexzander to wakefullness. Slowly he opened his lavender eyes and looked up at the cause of his pain.
"Ahh... i see you are finally awake... i want you to be conscious when i toss you to your doom."
Alexzander focused on the figure above him, and he recognized it as one of the minions that had once worked under him, and had now betrayed him to his current fate.

Rough hands dragged him to his feet, and Alexzander swayed slightly before steadying himself. Alexzander tried his hardest to project that aura of raw power and control that had once come so easily to him, but now seemed so far away. He was detirmined not to show any weakness to this worm.
"Not feeling so well, are we? How does it feel to be the little fish for once?" the demon stepped close to Alex and let loose with a nasty punch to his gut, doubling him over. The demon watched and laughed as Alex sank back to his knees, clutching his stomach in pain. Alex coughed, and was suprised when a trickle of violet liquid slid out of his mouth and down his chin. He wiped the liquid off his chin, and stared at it, his eyes slowly changing from lavender, to a dull, burnt orange.

The demon leaned down to look Alexzander in his eyes. "I want you to know something before i toss you into the fire pits for the rest of eternity. Our Prince has given me your former position, with all the power and responsibilities you so recently enjoyed. He also gave me my first order..."
The demon leaned closer, and spoke quietly, with a feral gleam in his eye, "The first thing i am to do is to capture your little angel friend, and bring her here for... questioning." The demon smiled in triumph, and laughed again, his cackle echoing through the cavern.
"I hear she is quite a beauty... i will have fun breaking her to my will. I think one of my new stature deserves a slave, dont you?"

Alexzander sat there, kneeling on the cavern floor, as the demon gloated above him. Slowly, Alexzander's eyes shifted, getting darker, more red. Alexzander rose to his feet, and looked into the eyes of his tormenter, just as his eyes started to glow a blazing red. With a growl Alexzander lunged at the demon, knocking him against the cavern wall. Alex leaned close as he pressed the demon against the wall. "You are a fool to underestimate me, and now you shall pay dearly." Alex pulled his fist back to finish the job, but was suddenly suprised to find himself sailing through the air, and slamming against the opposite wall. He shook his head, and looked up to see the demon standing above him.

"You are the fool, old man. Foolish to believe you could defeat me with your feeble power." The demon crossed the space, and roughly picked up Alex by his head, and carried him over to the nearby chasm. "Ive played with you long enough, its time to meet your doom."
The demon held Alex over the chasm, dangling him above the endlessly burning flames that were to be his punishment. Alex groaned as he grasped the demon's arm, trying to gain the leverage to pull himself free. Bringing his legs up, he kicked the demon in the stomach, and rolled free of his grasp, coming to his feet and facing his opponent.

"Ahhh... I see you still have some fight left in you old man. I am going to enjoy this..." The demon advanced on Alexzander, raising his fists, a smirk on his face. Alexzander slowly backed up, towards the chasm, trying to regain his breath, realizing that his escape had drained him more that he had thought it would. He needed to end this fight, and quickly, or he would have no strength left to make good his escape.
Suddenly, the demon charged at Alex, shoulder down, attempting to push him back into the fiery chasm. Alexzander grasped at what was left of his power, and rose smoothly into the air flying over his opponent, and landing behind the demon as it skidded to a halt. As the demon spun around, Alex lashed out, landing a blow to the creatures jaw. Alexzander watched with a smile on his face as the demon wobbled, and fell backwards, over the chasm. Then, as Alexzander leaned over to watch his adversary fall to his doom, he was suprised when the demon reached up and embedded his claw into Alexzander's chest. Alex struggled to hold himself steady, as the demon held on to him for dear life.

"Pull me up, and I will forget your transgressions! You will serve under me, as i once served under you!"
Alexzander looked down at the demon, now pleading for it's miserable life, and smiled at him. The demon took this for an agreement, and reached his other hand up to Alexzander. Looking into his eyes, Alex spoke softly.
"I will never serve you, you worm. You are not half the demon i am."
Alex drew his fist back, and struck the demon in its face, sending him flying down into the chasm. He slowly turned and limped away from the chasm, listening to the cries of the demon as he burned in the eternal flames.
Alexzander reached up and touched his chest, feeling the deep furrows that the demons claws had left in him, feeling the violet liquid oozing out of him. "I need to get away, to heal myself." Spreading his wings, he slowly rose up, ascending throught the planes to a familliar spot on the material plane.

The alley was quiet. Immediately the familliar stench of death assaulted Alexzander's senses. Slowly he wandered throughout the alley, seeing the bodies of several people. Many had bite or claw marks, suggesting they had been killed by something... less then human. Alexzander concentrated, and reached down into the core of his being. Slowly his features shifted, his wings and claws melding back within his body. Finally, Alex straightened up, no longer in his demonic form, but rather, a tall man in mirrored sunglasses and a black suit. Wincing in new pain, Alexzander limped slowly towards the mouth of the alley, his violet blood leaving a trail behind him. As he approached the entrance, he was suprised to find a police cruiser there. Knowing he had to escape before the rest of the police showed up, Alex leaped onto the hood of the car, catching a glimpse of the female officer within, then over it, and fled into the darkness of the city, leaving behind a single drop of violet liquid on the windshield of the car...

Samuel

Samuel listens to the spirit that is talking to him , as they walk back to his apartment. He is dumbfounded as to how he was chosen as a vessel for this great responsibility. He opens up his door , and immediately pops open a beer. This was not something to attempt to understand sober. His new companion tells him that it will be clearer when the Scout gets there.

"The scout? Who the frick is the Scout? " The answers are not forthcoming , so Samuel will have to wait and see. He sits down on his barcolounger and sucks back some more brew. He is not sure how long he has to wait, but he figures his 12 pack should last him through this vigil.

Thallock

He stared into the darkness, icy eyes taking in everything. To him, the darkness was bright. Even with his sunglasses on, he felt pain as he went around in the night. Artifical light was painful, but not as bad as the sun. The sun could burn into his mind, erase his memories in a wave of red hot pain.

It was like a bright day now, lost in the darkness of the room. His mind was fighting against time. Whenever he was given pain that way, with light, it brought up fragments of memories for a short time. The time before the first Great Pain. When he existed in nothingness, where no demon or angel could go.

He was not a demon of Hell. He knew, beause he lacked the powers of such creatures. Like the ability to return to that from whence they came. He knew he could only return through the death of his physical form. He saw not the bright darkness of the room, though. He saw back into the nothingness. He never saw images in the nothingness, he knew the first encounter with light had burned those images away.

Instead, he felt. Warm, soft, welcoming. A body pressed against his own. Happiness at it being there. Surprise as it started to leave. He could feel it, reaching for him, being pulled away. And then it was gone. The momory fled with the unidentified. He sighed, and closed his eyes, picking up the sunglasses and putting them on.

Where was he from? Who was he? Why were his memories so odd? Who was the other person? Was that why he was here? Questions plagued him, but as he searched for memories, he found none. Just memories of fragments coming to his mind. He couldn't remember how it had felt anymore,...just that he had felt it. He sat up, and opened his eyes. The brightness was dulled now to a comfortable point.

"Why am I evil? Am I evil? If not, why do I help evil?" He frowned, and climbed onto his small bed, curling up and sighing as he closed his eyes, to dream of things long lost and forgotten.

Dawn was still an hour or so away. It had been a long night, and with things to come, it proved to be an even longer day. Sleep came to him, but it was more like a nagging thought than anything else. In all truth he didn't need sleep anymore, but i was just an old habit that never seemed to die.
Sleep, food, drink, sex, they all weren't absolutely necessary, but definitely a pleasure. as an immortal, he had to keep himself preoccupied with something.
The little pleasures in life helped drown out the numbers of pain. He had seen another batch disappear tonight, and it was heartcrushing. Those had been his friends for nearly 40 years. They were the best of the best, that he had seen. Each of them so strong and smart, and yet the demons had still taken them out with one swipe.
Something would have to be done.
Sniffing the night air as he drove, Scout picked up a couple of scents. Two close together, but they seemed to be doing something at the moment. He didn't want to disturb them. One driving somewhere, and another simply sitting.
He sped down the road, seems as if he'd pick up the moving spirit first, and deal with the rest in a bit.
As he got closer and closer to the spirit, he realized that it was a cop. Of all people, he almost had to chuckle. A cop. He peered inside the car, inside the person. She was strong though, her will would be very helpful.
Letting the tires screerch loudly in the still night air, he sped in front of the car and then down a long harrowing road. Might as well get the woman's attention.

Valkir

It had been a long night already, but the smell had started to fade, and his brief onslaught of pain had cleared his head. The taste had started hours ago, but it was maddening now. That always happened the night of a kill. Usually it would drive him mad in search of another hunter, but he knew that was not to be tonight. The mass quantities they'd taken earlier had left this city virtually empty of hunters, and the ones that were taking the smell were in the scouts protection. They were nearly impossible to find the first night, it was a waste of time to try, but still, the taste grew.
It started with just a hint in the back of his throat, but very quickly it grew to the state he was in now, mouth open, with his razor sharp teeth dripping foul saliva forth.
He glided from building to building in the downtown core, scouring the alleyways and darkened streets. He could fly, like most of the greater demons, but it was his pleasure to stay in the confines of obscure shadows whenever he could. Like this he searched, not really knowing what for, but searching none the less.
It happened in time, more than he would have liked, that he came upon a van parked on the side of the street. There were 4 people handing out sandwiches to those camped out in the stairways for the night. He watched carefully as they'd split up from the van in pairs, then split again to cover as much ground as they could, only to meet up again to refresh the supplies. This would remove the taste... a few more moments of watching, and that lady would walk down this alley alone. A pitbull attack, or random act of violence they would call it. Always something to remove the shadow of doubt. He didn't care. He'd put thousands of names in headlines over the years, but he cared not to read about his accomplishments. This was about filling time until he could redden his blade once more. This was about the taste, and how he could put it off for a while....

Darius...

Darius slammed his hand down on his desk shouting "What do you mean she's gone? Where the fuck is my sister!?" the servant cowered beneath his masters dark stare. "S-she disappeared three days ago" he stammered struggling not to faint. Darius was a very frightening individual. Also all of his servants knew that their master possessed incredible power. They all did their best to stay on their good side. The few that didn't, well they simply disappeared. No one was stupid enough to ask where. Darius stood up strait thinking back three days. That was the day he had gotten rid of all those hunters. More were bound to show up sooner or later. Thanks to that cursed scout! Darius thought angrily. He really hated that man. Noticing the servants pale coloring he waved him away. "Go you cowardly peice of dirt. Find my sister and bring her back to me. If you don't..." Darius trailed off his lips curving into a smile so evil that the servant cried out and took off running out the door, followed closely by Darius's laughter.

Raven...

Raven was having a nightmare. People screamed in agony from all directions. Creatures right out of someone's nightmare rampaged the streets killing all within their path. She saw a woman who seemed oddly familar exit one of the burning houses with a sword in her hand. She swung at the creatures with all her might. She was a skilled swordsmen and many monsters fell to her blade. There were a few other people just like her fighting the creatures with everything that they had. However one by one they were killed until the woman was the only one left. Despite the odds she faught with all her spirit and before she fell to the creatures she had taken out more then half of them. Raven could see the womans body lying there. A look of determination frozen on her face, her sword still gripped tightly in her hand. Then there was a bright flash and suddenly an angel stood beside her body. He knelt down and lightly touched her shoulder. When he pulled away a white light exited her body. The angel spoke softly to her and she nodded in understanding. Then the angel proceeded to touch the rest of the warrior's bodies releasing their spirits as well. This time Raven heard him speak. "You all are the strongest and bravest of the human race. You have all given your lives so that other may live. You are stubborn, thick headed and absolutly perfect for the job I have for you. You will become immortal spirits and guide other humans such as yourselves through their destiny of fighting the evil hordes that threaten the world as we know it." the spirits nodded their acceptance and then with a sweep of his arm the angel sent the spirits off into the air. Raven awoke with a jerk sitting upright in bed. What a strange dream, it had seemed so real. "It is real, or at least was real. That was my dear friends and I. When our familes were killed by the demons we started a mission to rid the world of that evil so that others would not suffer as we did. But we completely underestimated the evil's strength and we got ourselves killed. Then the angel showed up. He never told us his name but he explained to us out destiny. To find those worthy of a warriors life." Raven shook her head. "Why am I worthy? I have done nothing to deserve this big a job" She thought she head a soft chuckle. " It is not for me to tell you that, however you will find out in due time. Have patience, you are young yet" Rolling her eyes Raven shrugged "if you say so" she said thinking that she wouldn't have the chance to grow older if her brother had his way.
