Dammit, others have threads about there favourite TV shows and while it may not be as glamorus as Alias or as "fun" as Buffy, but geez I love Star Gate SG-1... even with McGyver in it :) (he gets all the best lines anyway)

Y'know, I have to agree.
SG1 is the only sci-fi kinda program I can watch! I keep expecting McGuyver to pull out a stick of gum, pull apart a biro, tie a knot in a piece of rope and save the day!
LMAO :D

I like SG1. Haven't seen season 6(?) yet - videoed bu not got around to watching it yet.

What a crap way the killed Daniel. Lost them a lot of women fans.

My wife is really into the sg1 fan fiction, especially the slash. Now that is an area I do not want to go into.

he's not actually dead and i thought i read somewhere they had left it open if he ever wanted to come back.

I have to admitt though, that i do kinda like Jonas Quin

Didn't realize so many folks watched the SG-1.
Richard Dean Anderson rocks! :)

Count me as one of the SG1 fans. I don't get to see it often, however, because I'm usually out.

Have to get me a TIVO, I think.

Most definately.

No idea how far behind the US we are, but last week had the classic line of "Ok, next mother ship we get... we keep"

ok so it does not come across to well typed, but it was good :)

Ok one more......

Daniel: Wow, this place is incredible. It's like we just stepped into the citadel at Mycenae.
O'Neill: I thought you said it was Greek.
Daniel: Oh, Mycenae was an ancient city in the Southern Pelopponesian region.
O'Neill: Where's that?
Daniel: Greece.
O'Neill: Why do I do that?

I'd post to this thread but I have to go SG 1 is just starting.

Arghhh to be cont.
I hate waiting. :)

Duckie we must be on a par
with the episodes then,
according to the mother ship comment.
<sniff> Now if only Farscape would return to
my screen. I would be a very happy sci fi fan. :D

Hate to tell you this Debbie, but Farscape was axed. :(

bastards! first they axed First Wave, which had a great story line going until Traci Lords showed up, when it got a bit... yeah. now they take Farscape? goddamnit! we stop paying for cable and they feel they have to axe the good shows!

bastards!

How do you rate free cable? I have to pay if I want it. NO FAIR! The world is an injust place. I am SO disillusioned. :( ;)

They still play SG-1 on network television, sometime, though. It's probably at some time when I never watch tv, though.

At least 1st Wave got warning in time to end the series all wrapped up.

Farscape was told a few days before the end of filming of the season finale cliff hanger.

The Henson Company is thinking about some Farscape mini series to tie up the story lines.

we don't get free cable.

we just stopped paying (read: the scramblers here in Anchorage weren't exactly the best until about November last year, meaning nearly all the channels came in pretty cleary, so we didn't pay a damn dime). now we have basic, and that's all. nobody watches tv enough here to justify paying for it.

no idea why, but when was a month or so ago.

 We didn't even get to see one full series, I think?
The last we saw was Moya's baby being kidnapped?
Damnit and I won't get to see more! That sucks.

I love Stargate. One of my favourite series and far better than the film (even with Richard Dean Anderson in it ;)).

I enjoyed the movie, but love the series.. there is a difference, it just depends on what mode i am in :)

hehe

Richard Dean was the man in McGyver, I learned lots from that show:p

So next time you have been captured by terrorists, chained up to a barrel of explosives in the middle of the desert... you will be able to escape and defuse the bomb with only a stick of chewing gum?

Good lad :)

Yep, SG-1 is a good show. I love it.

And you're right about the whole 'McGyver' thing. I too, keep expecting a biro and a bit of wire ripped from a spaceship combined with a funny shaped branch to be made into a Goa'uld trap!
