Sexy PIN-UPS from yester-year

ahhhhhh yes some of my finest first fantasies were inspired by these women. Must be why I have a thing for older women.

I just love pinups. The women are not skinny. :nana:

BS, it isn't a book about pin ups really, but if you like them, there i a book of vintage nose art, with the pin ups that decorated the noses of WWII bombers and a lot of the original art the crews copied from. It's pretty neato mosquito stuff :)

I was talking to a really old guy in my neighborhood and he had a little collection. He picked up a calendar and showed it to me, so I desided to look it up. I have posted dozens on Barn Burner Mag

I love some of the pre-airbrush work, early illustration has always been a favorite of mine, the techniques and mediums....sigh, makes you wanna pick up the old pencil and go to town............look at the freshness of color in the pastels, the simplicity of the poses and the whole innuendo thing.....it's lushcious.

When I am drawing, this is the kind of work I am thinking about. I am far better at image manipulation, but it's nothing like holding an image in your mind and letting it flow out of your fingers. Much like writing, that's why I like both, art and literature.

If you're getting some of these from The Pin-Up Files site, be sure to check out the section on Greg Hildebrandt. He's contemporary but works in the 40's and 50's style. The guy's so good, he did the Star Wars art, it's disgusting. It was hard to pick out just one, so here are two that give an idea what he can do with light. Both of them, especially the second one, are one pose stories.
