Me? I don't know what an Ipod is.

However it seems that erotic stories account for about 1% of what is available for Ipods and 11% of downloads.

With picture Ipods on the way the publishers of erotic videos in the UK think they have a chance to make real money.

Where did I put the gramophone with the dog spinning at 78rpm?

There are few salacious monologues among the piles of shellac.

I think the world might have been a better place when it was only spinning at 78rpm.

But, waaaa! I do want one of the new Ipods! You can download certain TV shows the day after you miss them; I'm thinking this could make the work day pass more quickly. ;)

Oh so that's why people are so wide-eyed when they're using their ipods on the bus.

BTW, are you saying that some old 78 records were of a risque nature? How risque? Sounds like a piece of unwritten history about that Victrola in the old photos of Great Grandma's living room with the flowered wallpaper.

I don't think I ever heard anything but music, sometimes good, sometimes bad, on a 78 RPM. I suppose a night club or burlesque comedian could have been recorded on one. I think they actually preceded rock 'n roll.

Most risque recordings on 78rpm records were of Music Hall artists or comedians. The humour was of the 'double-entendre' variety like the Carry-On films or Benny Hill.

Max Miller 'The Cheeky Chappie' was popular. Some of his routines were banned from radio in the 1930s and 40s but available on 78s.
