This may not be a complete list - I don't have a lot of experience in this area but....

Gonorrhea
Syphilis
Herpes
HIV
Chlamydia
genital warts (wich increase the risk of cervical cancer)

And yes, women (men) can get gonorrhea from blowjobs. They get it in the throat.

For most STDs, it's the blowjob that's dangerous, not the swallowing. HIV/AIDS is the only one I know of that is specifically transmitted by "exchange of bodily fluids" -- which is NOT limited to cum; blood, sweat, and tears are "bodily fluids" also.

All of the rest are transmitted by skin to skin contact or skin lesions in much the same manner as other contagious diseases.

After my rape, I went to the hospital,a nd they ran some tests. 6 months later, I had to go in for the HIV test again (they recomment going at 3 weeks, 3 months, and 6 months, in case it hasnt' shown up in your blood stream). I went to a local clinic, and got the paperwork so I could go to a lab, and get all kinds of blood tests done. Before I would even sleep with my honey, I asked him to go get all the tests done. Just go to a local clinic, and tell them you want STD and blood tests done. They'll send you to a lab. No big deal.

after I was raped I had all of the std and blood test dones as well, I had the HIV test done the morning after I was raped again at 3weeks, 3months six months and had all of the test ran again at exactly 1 year to the date after I was raped.

its scary after you go through that and then someone says lets run these test to be on the safe side but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

so in my opinion condoms, dental dam's, etc etc are all good ideas if they help keep you or your partner from becoming sick.

Although I've never had it done to me, I've heard of a good way around this: Have your lover give you head while sucking a Life-Saver or Jolly Rancher or other hard candy. The hard/soft combination is supposed to work wonders.
