My wife and I are considering buying a sex swing. I have a couple of questions for those of you who have a swing.

Would you recommend a swing that attaches to the ceiling, or one that is free standing?

If you like one that attaches to the ceiling, how difficult is installation?

Any recommendations for a specific brand or swing?

Thank you for your assistance.

My search feature seems to be broken... but if yours is working, do a search for "love swing" - there was a thread on here exactly like yours a few months ago. There was good discussion about different brands and how well they worked. It's exactly what you're asking for.

Installation isn't difficult, but you MUST make sure that your ceiling can support something like a sex swing. Make sure that the hooks are screwed into a solid rafter -- otherwise your climactic moment might be when the ceiling caves in and drops you nd your partner on the floor in a shower of broken plaster and fiberglass insulation.

Dire Warnings aside, I'd prefer a ceiling mount if it's possible because storage is less of a problem when you're not using it -- and you can replace the swing with hanging plants or macrame to explain away the hooks in the ceiling.

Most brands of swings that I've seen also offer the option of purchasing a stand that I've heard is fairly easy to assemble and disassemble, if you didn't feel your ceilings would support it. Just a thought.

I believe I was on www.thehun.com and they have a sex toy store with tons of stuff... lots of swings and stands at different prices. another site is www.mydearlady.com that site has a few. hope that helps.... i personally would go with the stand so that i didnt have to do the ceiling installation and have it all fall down on me :p good luck with ur shopping

the stand for the swing is rather large and you need space to put it in.

i have the ceiling style. We put ours in the door frame. The nail/screw/hook is rather large and I don't reconmend pulling it in and out, just buy extra at the hardware store.

The only thing I would add to my Love Swing is the strap/padding for the neck... or a cup holder for when I decide just to sit in it to watch T.v .. :)

It takes a little while to adjust to it, its a little clumsy .. but you wont regret fixing it all in the right dimensions.

I have a ceiling hung swing that I made myself. I works really well and we've had lots of fun putting it thru its paces. My next step is to attach bungee cords to give it a little bounce. IMO the ceiling hung ones are a little better as you are not constricted in how and where you can move. On top of that there's no chance of it falling over if you get a little rambunctious.

For installation all you need to worry about is if your beam will hold. Other than that I just used 2 ½ inch wood screws with washers to make sure they didn’t slip. Just don’t try to install your hardware in the dry wall with anchors. You’re just asking for a whole world of hurt if you did that.

As for brands, I checked out a bunch of different ones before I started building mine. The most important thing for us was proper back support. Try one that is either a sling style or one that can be adjusted for your back. If you spend lots of time in it you’ll thank me later for this one.

Good luck, have fun and play safe.

We just got a love swing a few months ago,It hangs from the celing or in a
door way,if you are not sure of where you can hang it in your celing.
Mine hangs right in front of our computer it is great, once you get the kinks
out of using it you will be glad you did.
