Sex & Intimacy Questions From Your High School Days

I had a conversation yesterday at a picnic and decided to do a rough survey here.

The topic was: Is sex treated more casually in high school in the last 10 years because of more open TV shows, movies, books and music than it was 20 and 30 years ago?

Was the act of intercourse done more often? Did it have any meaning or was it just a sex act? Was foreplay more prevalent? What about oral sex? How much did 'love' enter into the picture?

There was also a specific discussion about kissing? Do you feel it is more intimate to kiss passionately than to have intercourse?

Please, if you answer, indicate what years you were in high school and your gender. Try to think about it in terms of more than just your own high school experience. What about your group of friends?

Isn't it impossible to honestly compare these unless you experienced the school system during both time periods?

For me, I graduated in 1989 from small town America. (Up in the Texas Panhandle.) Sex for us was basicly marking notches on the bedpost. Sex was casual and the typical affair amongst everyone I knew was approx. one month. I, personally, was not very sexually active--but casual sex was the rule as opposed to the exception. This seemed to be the norm among all the various cliques.

I did not know anyone who was sexually active who did not start off each "relationship" with a sexual encounter. From what I understand, things are no different there now.

The town I currently live in seems to be no different. When I worked in the ER, the questions concerning teen pregnancy were very nosy and we routinely tested the girls. It was rare that we felt that they were being honest about their sexual activity.

Tony, Thats a hard one to say..................I went to school before Aids came about............I was a male slut in school..............

I have noticed it is more open now.........Maybe cause I am older too.....hard to say........I see more chicks talk about it better but I do think that came with age......We all are older and hopefully a little wiser.............
