I suspect in practice that floating free in zero gravity would work best during foreplay and for oral sex or masturbation, possibly mutual.
The in-and-out of intercourse usually depends on having something to rest on that you can transfer momentum to, such as the bed, floor, ground, back seat, etc. In zero gravity, you don't get the frictional coupling to whatever surface is below you, so there's no "down."
But let me speculate.
There are some intercourse techniques which could work free-floating. One way to do it depends on her having good vaginal muscle control. Then a floating "seated" position could work well, and the partners could kiss and use their hands on each other fairly freely.
Another way to do it would allow thrusting in-and-out by way of the insertive partner's hands moving the receptive partner's hips, which could work for either frontal or rear entry.
Another possibility, assuming his penis can bend to a downward angle while still remaining erect, would be a scissors position where each partner grabs the other's ankles. One ankle ends up against your partner's chest, the other against his/her back. If you tend to kick your legs at orgasm, the partners could be sent flying and spinning, trailing blobs of, well, you know. This could work well for a pair of women, as well, who wouldn't have the turret depression issue.

I actually read an articale about it one time. There actually is one porn film shot in zero gravity. They did it the same way as when they made apollo 13. You take a plane way up into the atmosphere and then dive giving you several seconds of zero g. I remember it cause it was up for a sci fi award. Supposly not only would a person hae to worry about having something to ancor themselfs but there is the matter of blood flow in the body, since it isn't properly regulated by gravity and sweet would build up on the body again from no gravity. But of course some postions in the karma sutra would only be capable in zero gravity. : )
