Hi ladies, I'm a newbie here so please be kind. If I've posted this in the wrong place, please let me know.

I like reading, writing and listening to erotica. No, that's an understatement. I love it!

I love it so much, I started writing erotica scripts and begging women to read them. And that's when I got a rude awakening. There must be hundreds of guys like me writing scripts. The GWA library is full of them. And my scripts just didn't get the attention I felt they deserved. But that didn't stop me. I found a way to get my scripts recorded and even self published a few audiobooks.

I'm having fun, but not enough fun because I feel like I’m missing a connection with my audience. I like what I write but I’m afraid to get opinions from others because I did not want to take the chance they would crush my creative spirit with their "honest opinion". But today, for some strange reason, I'm feeling stronger. Not invincible, but a little courageous. So I'm sticking my head out to get a little glimpse of reality and I'm hoping it doesn't get bit off.

I'm working on my 6th book and I'm trying to do it right. I'm sharing the script with others and actually asking for feedback. The trouble is that it's a sensitive topic that no one wants to talk about it. It's taboo in most cultures.

I grew up catholic where we were taught the perils of wanking. It was a sin. The price to pay? Eternal damnation. I'm still trying to get over it.

What are your views on masturbation? How come nobody likes to talk about it?

PS: from "Masturbation Myths-Dr. Teesha Morgan on youtube"

Masturbation is the ultimate form of safe sex. Benefits of masturbation: Masturbation resulting in orgasm carries with it a plethora of positive health benefits. It alleviates headaches. It decreases stress. It’s a sleep aid. It actually improves your immune functioning. And women that masturbate during their period can actually alleviate menstrual cramps.

How come nobody likes to talk about it?

Around this forum, hardly anybody doesn't talk about it.

I agree with you about all those benefits you listed.

I'd go farther and say that it should be taught as a means of creating awareness of your body's needs, and that orgasms from self-pleasure should come before coitus. Guys seem to do that anyway, but gals should have a pretty good grasp of what gives them orgasms before they engage in social sex. That way, they'll know that they don't have to depend on the partner to get them off.

I look forward to seeing "Masturbation 101" in a future college catalog. That's a school I'd go to.

During the time our children were very little and exhausting we had times of sex less frequently. I remember through those years one of the major motives for me to masturbate was so that, when we did come together, I would last plenty long enough to have her full dose of joy on me! It worked! :)
