I shudder to think what political hay is going to be made of this study on both sides of the sex-education debate.
To me, it seems pretty straight forward that where people are taught that tolerance is a good thing, (whether in Sex-Ed or by society's example,) fewer people have psycological problems with being different.
To those who are afraid of "the Gay and Lesbian Conspiracy" or just afraid they're kids might grow up and have sex, this is absolute proof that, "Sex Education will destroy those values we hold most dear!" (ie hatred of anything we don't understand and our, God-given, right to be bigots.)

these surveys..
sound impressive but i cant help but wonder just how true and acurate the results show. younger teens who do anon. answers ,i feel,will make up answers and pad them.
ask a teen who is a virgin if they had sex, and they will answer "yes" just to be part of their peer group and not seem like they are different from their friends.
teenagers have a hard time defining their sexual attitudes and as far as councillors go, i say that is a bonus for them. jparents have to respect their childs choices and support them.
straight, gay or bi or bi-curious?
i say, as long as they are happy with who they are and comfortable with that choice and take precautions from all the STD's out there today...that is all that matters.
precaution and prevention in todays world is far more different than the days of my youth when we just worried about gonoreah or syphilis and we got a shot of penicillin to clear it up.
education is utmost for todays youth.
i am rambling here....so sorry.
