This relates to Zeb's thread on the sex doll situation in Korea:
So here's the poll: If prostitution was as strictly outlawed in your country...would you pay for sex with a doll?
Oh, and LADIES, there is a guy doll out there, so just replace the "she's" with "he's" in the poll when you vote.
SPECIAL NOTE: Alas, there's no editing polls. The "hell yes" option should read:
Hell yes, I'd pay for a doll. A doll have more life than the person I'm currently with.
It made me wonder...I'm assuming that "free" sex with a real woman has not been outlawed, nor sex where the man pays for dinner, gives her jewelry, etc. So...is there something important here that I'm missing? Are the dolls just a cheap date...or do men like to pay for sex?Take the police in Suwon, South Korea, for example. This week they were tossed a bit of a curve and are now pondering whether pimping plastic prostitutes -- inflatable sex dolls, that is -- is a violation of the country's stringent anti-prostitution law, which went into effect in 2004. Known as the Special Law On Prostitution, it prohibits the sale of human flesh for sexual gratification.
According to South Korean news reports, however, an inflatable sex doll sex market has developed, with some South Korean men paying up to 25,000 won (US$26.15 at current exchange rates) an hour to use what are called "doll experience rooms". The price includes the use of a bed, computer and, of course, the inflatable sex doll.
