sex an addiction?

I've given up booze, cigarettes, coffee... sex isnt a vice or an addiction... someone back me up here!!

Yes, sex can be an addiction. But it's not a harmful addiction, unless someone who's addicted to sex begins to hurt others.

If you had to choose between booze, cigarettes, drugs, or sex. Sex is definitely the least harmful addiction to have.

I read .....somewhere... ( i think it was a collage course i took a loooong time ago) that for something to be addictive, it has to change your brain chemistry. So i'd classify sex as a vice.... but only if you have the right grip.

Difference between liking and being addicted

I replied to an earlier post about sex addiction - admitting that I was an addict.

Many people here treat it pretty lightly, and fail to appreciate the difference between being horny and enjoying sex to be being addicted to it. And good for them - cos it probably means they are not addicted.

Sex is mostly a total hoot for me also - but there is a dark side to it. It goes well beyond enjoying it.
