Rules? There are rules (beyond 7 letters, and perhaps change only 1 or—if absolutely necessary—2)? I must confess it was I who used both Lorelei and Crisco®, but I'm sure I have seen others using countries, cities, people, and the like (although maybe not the Oxford comma, more's the pity).

Let me be perfectly clear: I have no desire to impose rules where there are none. If we're cool with using proper nouns, then I'm not advocating to change that. I just wanna know what the rules are. The fewer rules the better, sez this wannabee rebel!!!
